La vie est Belle, Eau de Toilette, a statement made of grace. The Lancôme house was created in 1935 by Armand Petitjean. From the outset, it embodies beauty, femininity, makeup and luxury.
La Vie est Belle, an Eau de Toilette that makes life beautiful. The Eau de Toilette La Vie est Belle was released in 2014, following the enormous success of the Eau de Parfum, which came out a year earlier. More than a fragrance, La Vie est Belle stands as an entirely new philosophy of life, and Lancôme states loud and clear: yes, life is beautiful, so enjoy it! A true anthem to happiness, La Vie est Belle is like a message of optimism, a message of life. Carefully selected flowers reveal the joy and energy of a spring ready to bloom.

La Vie est Belle in the hands of highly talented perfumers
Lancôme did not go wrong in its choice of noses, selecting two of the most talented perfumers, namely Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion. Both had already worked together and are behind La Nuit de L'Homme by Yves Saint Laurent, and Olympéa and Lady Million by Paco Rabanne. Anne Flipo is from Picardy, but developed a passion for the world of scents very early on. She began her career at Créations Aromatiques (now Symrise), before joining IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances). Anne Flipo is regarded not only as a talented perfumer but also as a sensitive and creative one. Dominique Ropion also works within IFF. Also highly talented, Dominique Ropion possesses a perfect knowledge of raw materials and impeccable expertise.
The gourmand magnolia at the heart of La Vie est Belle Eau de Toilette
Magnolia is thus the star of the Eau de Toilette La Vie est Belle. Native to the Far East, magnolia is the first flower of spring. In this sense, it symbolizes renewal and purity. Magnolia is known for its abundant, fragrant blooming. It was in 1711 that magnolia was introduced to France by René Darquistade, a French trader returning from the Americas. However, it was not until 1764 that François Bonamy, director of the Jardin des Plantes in Nantes, identified the tree as a Magnolia Grandiflora. In the language of flowers, magnolia is a symbol of fidelity. In perfumery, magnolia gives off floral, soft, sweet and vanilla-like tonalities. La Vie est Belle Eau de Toilette thus opens with magnolia flowers. The heart is incredibly floral, combining iris and white flowers with patchouli for maximum sensuality. Finally, the base of La Vie est Belle Eau de Toilette is meant to be ultra gourmand, combining vanilla, tonka bean and praline. Native to Central America, vanilla is now cultivated in the Comoros, Indonesia, Madagascar and Tahiti. In perfumery, vanilla is generally used in oriental or gourmand compositions and gives off soft, balsamic and sweet tonalities. The bottle of La Vie est Belle Eau de Toilette takes up the main codes of its predecessor. Still majestic with its immense smile, reminiscent of Julia Roberts's, the bottle here comes in a pale pink color.
