Hommage à l'Homme Voyageur
A tribute to the traveling man, as deep as the ocean floor. René Lalique is known as an avant-garde jeweler whose creations were coveted by noblewomen of the nineteenth century. From 1895 onward, he created jeweled bottles, adding a new talent to his repertoire.

From 1920 onward, he designed bottles for the greatest perfumers, such as Guerlain. It was in 1995 that the house of Lalique released its first fragrance, Lalique de Lalique. In 2011, Lalique unveiled Hommage à l'Homme. In 2014, the house presented an olfactory flanker with Hommage à l'Homme Voyageur, a fragrance in memory of a beautiful journey.
A tribute to the ship Le Normandie
Hommage à l'Homme Voyageur is an olfactory odyssey intended to pay tribute to the legendary ocean liner Le Normandie. Here, the man is at the heart of the emotions, those of crossing on the luxurious liner. This fragrance is one of olfactory escape, of travel, of distant lands, of different scents. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Lalique unveiled Hommage à l'Homme in 2011. This fragrance was intended for an elegant man, confident and seductive. Hommage à l'Homme Voyageur is a dark woody fragrance, as dark as the blue waves of the Atlantic at night. This blue comes from the ribbon won by Le Normandie, the only French ocean liner to have won the speed record for the transatlantic crossing. This wonderful transatlantic blue also tints the traveler's bottle. The latter was inspired in Thierry de Baschmakoff by the Art Deco lines of the Duncan bathroom accessories collection created by René Lalique in 1931.
The notes of escape in Hommage à l'Homme Voyageur
At the heart of an extraordinary journey, the fragrance of Hommage à l'Homme Voyageur carries us into navy blue depths. Hommage à l'Homme Voyageur opens with the sparkling top notes of bergamot. These are then joined by green notes as well as cardamom. The heart blends leather accords with patchouli, papyrus and the woody tones of vetiver. Hommage à l'Homme Voyageur develops toward an amber, sensual base with the presence of vanilla and amber notes. The bottle is thus inspired by Art Deco, a collection created by René Lalique. The name of the fragrance is inscribed on a metal plate at the center of the bottle. The latter is furthermore topped with a metallic cabochon… a beautiful invitation to travel.
In honor of the Atlantic crossing of the ocean liner Le Normandie, René Lalique imagined Hommage à l'Homme Voyageur. Three years after Hommage à l'Homme, the house of Lalique offered a much more powerful, richer variation. With Hommage à l'Homme Voyageur, the house of Lalique carries us on an olfactory journey into the depths of the Atlantic, where the ocean is navy blue.
