L'Homme ROCHAS
L’Homme Rochas: An elegant eau de toilette Perfumery belongs to the world of luxury and carries us, in each of its creations, into an idealized and fantasized universe. Thus, many fragrances offer us the idealized portrait of the men and women of our time. At Rochas, until now, attention had been very much focused on the feminine side.

Where to buy
Today, however, the house has chosen to change register and has created the perfect alter ego to Mademoiselle Rochas, a fragrance conceived in 2017. The new creation from the house is called L’Homme Rochas. So, what does the new portrait of this seductive and refined gentleman conceal?
Who is the new Homme Rochas?
Even before discussing the composition of this fragrance itself, how about getting acquainted with the new Rochas gentleman? The 2020 Rochas fragrance seems to possess all the charisma of today’s men, combined with a notion of timeless elegance. Very refined but no less seductive, L’Homme Rochas has everything going for it. Humble and generous, he gives the woman by his side a dreamlike everyday life. In love and romantic, he stops at nothing to see stars in her eyes. Playful and a bit teasing, he is not without humor either. Clearly, l’Homme Rochas has more than one trick up his sleeve to win over hearts. An ideal lover, he is a true fantasy. Yet he knows how to behave more soberly when it comes to winning over his in-laws. Athletic and elegant, he is what every man dreams of becoming. More specifically, Rochas describes him as a neo French lover with an unfailing charm.
L’Homme Rochas, a powerful fragrance in a very elegant bottle
L’Homme Rochas comes in a captivating and mysterious blue case. Its dark coloring evokes an elegant and universal territory. Touches of silvery steel also appear here and there to recall the contemporary elegance of this fragrance. The Rochas seal, for its part, is engraved in relief at the base, as if to leave an indelible mark on this fragrance. Finally, the L’Homme Rochas bottle features ridged glass, echoing the millerais pattern found in the linings of Rochas jackets. The nod is subtle but sure to delight true connoisseurs of the house.
On the scent side, L’Homme Rochas is a refreshing and powerful eau de toilette. Its vivacity opens first on a blend of blood orange and pineapple. These fruity notes are further enriched with cardamom, a more oriental and sensual ingredient. The mysterious Rochas man then becomes more elegant through an accord of geranium and basil. Juniper berries mark a livelier turn in this composition, as if signaling that this is an authentic and spontaneous man. Little by little, L’Homme Rochas becomes more virile. It closes on a woody, enveloping base of patchouli, moss and tonka bean.

The advertising
While the city of Grasse has been considered the world capital of perfumery since the 16th century, Paris is another city infinitely linked to the history of our fragrances. Indeed, many great houses draw their inspiration from it. Paris is regarded by many as the city of love. It embodies romanticism throughout the world, and it is precisely on this image that the house of Rochas bases its new 2020 advertisement. The marketing campaign for the L’Homme Rochas fragrance features a couple in love in the most iconic locations of Paris. So, how about following this duo through their wild adventure?
L’Homme Rochas, all the elegance of Rochas in a new masculine juice
Before discussing this advertisement itself, let us first introduce this new fragrance from 2020. L’Homme Rochas owes its existence to perfumer Bruno Jovanovic, who readily describes his fragrance as romantic, sensual and daring. In fact, he conceived this fragrance in close connection with the history of Rochas and its deep relationship with Paris. This fragrance draws its power and energy from the history and roots of the house, conveying a vision of masculinity that is both bold and respectful, explains the nose of Rochas. I wanted to reinvent the conventions of naturally relaxed Parisian style, with an oriental fougère and a modern touch. Its juicy, spicy freshness carries a touch of ultra-masculine aromatic notes with a sensual and mysterious sillage. L’Homme Rochas embodies every facet of masculinity with a touch of the unexpected. More specifically, this translates first into a fresh burst of citrus, followed by a spicy and aromatic heart, dominated by basil and geranium. In its base, L’Homme Rochas also becomes warmer, woodier and more sensual. Its bottle, meanwhile, is truly beautiful. L’Homme Rochas comes in a massive, slightly ribbed blue glass case, topped with an imposing silver cap.
The romantic advertisement for L’Homme Rochas
While L’Homme Rochas is aimed at all elegant city-dwelling men, it also seems intended for the most romantic facet of their character. Indeed, the Rochas advertisement clearly draws on romantic feelings. Here, it features a couple portrayed by model Julien Remond and actress Noémie Schmitz, already the face of Rochas campaigns since 2017. Together they form an inseparable and particularly close duo. In turn, they exchange glances, laughter or playful bickering in several iconic locations of the capital. The L’Homme Rochas advertisement notably takes place at the Louvre Museum, along the banks of the Seine, atop a Parisian rooftop, or in the kitchens of the Hôtel Lutetia. The L’Homme Rochas bottle finally stands out against the Parisian sky, while the silhouette of the Eiffel Tower or that of the Sacré-Cœur appear on the horizon.
