Mylène Alran

Mylène Alran, a childhood at the heart of nature. Unlike most perfumers, it was not in the Grasse region, the world capital of perfumery, that Mylène Alran grew up. The young woman comes from the southwest of France. And it is precisely from her native land that her perfumery draws its inspiration directly. Since she was very young, Mylène Alran has enjoyed immersing herself in the scents of the surrounding nature. Among her favorite scents, the undergrowth holds a very special place. Mylène Alran signs creations that come straight from Gascony. The forests of Touzan Sorbets, Aizan, and the Bois des Moines are among the places that have fueled her inventiveness. Beyond this blend of woody notes and lichens, Mylène Alran also appreciates the scent of flowers. The rose bushes in her family garden have always been a source of inspiration. At the same time, Mylène Alran is a true artist at heart. She is also drawn to many other art forms, such as poetry, fashion, and floral art. All these elements combined together give her exceptional expertise, giving rise to fragrances that are often enveloping and comforting.

Mylène Alran's first steps at Robertet

Although Mylène Alran was not born in Grasse, it was indeed there that she began her career, more precisely at Robertet, a true institution of perfumery. Robertet is the world leader in perfume creation based on natural ingredients. The house currently uses 400 natural raw materials sourced from 60 different countries. These are orchestrated by the expert hands of 1800 employees working around the globe, of whom 928 are based in France. Mylène Alran joined this major group in 2010 and then joined the house's Parisian team, alongside the talented Michel Almairac, one of the most celebrated perfumers of his generation. Working alongside him, Mylène Alran gained solid expertise while contributing to the creation of perfumery best-sellers such as Chrome Intense, Chloé Absolu de Parfum, and Bottega Veneta Eau Sensuelle.

Mylène Alran, perfumer with the Drom Fragrances team since January 2019

Since January 16, 2019, Mylène Alran has decided to write a new chapter in her story by joining the company Drom Fragrances. Founded in 1911 in Munich, Germany, Drom Fragrances is a more family-owned company, rooted neither in the traditional French perfumery industry nor in the chemical industry. Drom Fragrances took many years to build a unique identity, quite different from traditional perfume houses. Its modern management has made it a very compelling structure, allowing perfumers to explore vast creative paths. Drom Fragrances offers Mylène Alran new perspectives and a fresh vision of perfumery, centered on sharing. To date, Drom Fragrances brings together 480 people, of whom only 24 are perfumers, united by their shared passion for scents.
