Rare and composed of precious raw materials, Lalique fragrances are like jewels… This led the famous house to create Perles in 2006, a floral chypre as alluring as it is terribly feminine in its glass case.

A femme fatale always dresses in… Perles de Lalique

World-renowned for the quality of its glass creations since the founder René Lalique through to his granddaughter Marie-Claude Lalique, the house behind a thousand and one fairylike glass creations decided to create its own fragrance label in 1992, after having composed the case for these precious scents over decades.

At the head of this new perfume house, Marie-Claude Lalique and the glassmaker Pochet… to be eventually bought some time later by the Art&Fragrance group. A single guiding principle remains: create exceptional fragrances in bottles worthy of Lalique's prestige. Thus the fragrances, including the so radiant Perles, would be distributed in an elitist manner, in what might be called the niche perfumery segment.

No grandiloquent communication for the lovely Perles created in 2006 by Nathalie Lorson. But a bottle worthy of a work of art, referencing the Roaring Twenties, the era when the precious cactus powder box, since become an icon of cosmetic art, first appeared under the signature of the master glassmaker René Lalique.

It is indeed this 1928 cactus powder box that inspired this very modern 2006 Perles bottle! Moreover, the frosted crystal and the elongated line of Perles also make it a beautifully contemporary element, just like its assertively feminine fragrance.

Perles de Lalique, or an ode to the majestic Bulgarian rose

The lovely Perles de Lalique thus seems as strong and assertive as it is fragile and delicate, in the image of the woman it embodies. Yet in the top notes it is indeed the delicacy of Perles's floral facets that is brought forward through the so rare Bulgarian rose, gourmand and creamy. A rose that will dress itself in powder with the so precious note of iris concrete, a material of choice in very elegant fragrances. This luxurious opening is soon joyfully stirred up by a bourbon pepper, awakening these soft flowers with its spicy strength. A few smooth and warm patchoulis from Sumatra hint at the cashmere wood notes hidden in the depths of Perles.

The woman of Perles dresses in floral and elegant silk, all the better to hide behind such a chic fur stole… Complex, glamorous, vintage and at the same time terribly modern, Perles de Lalique offers, with this original scent, a woman of multiple facets and multiple faces, between an angel of flowers and a demon of sensuality and character…
