JOOP!

Joop! Homme

Joop! Homme, an Eau de Toilette for men launched in 1989 by the German house JOOP!, is the work of Michel Almairac. Bergamot and lemon open onto a heart of cinnamon, orange blossom and jasmine, set on sandalwood, vetiver and patchouli, with touches of amber, tobacco, musk and honey. Its vivid pink juice, which the house presents as a first for a men’s fragrance, is its signature.

Where to buy

Joop! Homme appeared in 1989 under the JOOP! label, the fashion house founded by Wolfgang Joop. Michel Almairac composed the formula. The fragrance is sold as an Eau de Toilette, in 30, 75, 125 and 200 ml bottles.

The house describes it as a fresh, oriental fragrance in which floral, woody and exotic nuances meet warm, tart accents. It belongs among the orientals, with a fougère facet.

Its juice is vivid pink, and the box picks up this color in a gradient toward burgundy. The house presents it as the first pink fragrance made for men and has turned this into a motto, “real men wear pink.”

The Homme line has expanded to other compositions, including an Eau de Parfum introduced in 2021, distinct from the Eau de Toilette described here and housed in a bottle with thicker glass.
