Drawing inspiration from this ancient legend and the famous bacchanalia once celebrated by the Greeks and Romans, Lalique has now created an exceptional bottle. It belongs to the Flacons Cristal collection and is aimed in particular at collectors.

Before becoming a perfumer, Lalique was above all a glassmaker of worldwide renown for over a century. Over the course of its history, the house crafted the Bacchantes Vase. First created in glass in 1927, it has been made in crystal since 1947. It is one of the biggest successes of the house of Lalique, a sort of enormous vase inspired by the representation of the female body. As an aside, its creation requires no less than 30 hours of work. As if to pay tribute to this creation, Lalique has now turned it into a fragrance. It belongs to the Flacons de Cristal collection by Lalique, launched in 1994 by Marie-Claude Lalique to celebrate the birth of the house's first feminine fragrance. The Flacon Collection Cristal Bacchantes was thus preceded in 2014 by “Deux Paons”, in 2015 by “Plume” and in 2016 by “Anémone”. As always, the 2017 edition will be crafted by the Master Glassmakers of the Cristallerie Lalique located in Wingen-Sur-Moder, in Alsace. The whole will be signed and numbered, made in only 1500 pieces worldwide! Make no mistake, rarity comes at a cost. So, for those wishing to acquire this exceptional creation, the price is €1200.

Nevertheless, it should not be forgotten that this is indeed a fragrance. The Flacon Collection Cristal Bacchantes thus contains, alongside the bottle itself, a sublime scent. This was crafted by the talented Sophia Grosjman, a particularly renowned perfumer and today vice president of IFF, a true giant of the industry. She is a nose who has already worked for the greatest fragrance houses and has received numerous awards for her work. She also shows a very pronounced taste for working with rose. This flower, emblematic of feminine perfumery, is indeed present from the top notes of this fragrance. It is paired with the powdery nobility of iris as well as the opulent richness of jasmine. This radiance is balanced by the impertinence of clove. The composition then gradually shifts toward fruitier notes of blackberry, pear and blackcurrant. Finally, this fragrance rests on a smoother, more sensual base releasing hints of musk, sandalwood and vanilla.
