Bloom Eau de Parfum

The floral fragrance Bloom by Gucci Femininity has always been at the heart of the house of Gucci's concerns. This is expressed across three main business sectors, namely the creation of fashion items, accessories and perfumes.

Released in 2017, Gucci Bloom embodies femininity. Gucci Bloom was created like a lush garden. Alessandro Michele, creative director of the house of Gucci since 2014, states: I wanted a very rich white floral perfume, a bold perfume that transports one into an immense garden overflowing with flowers and plants, an abundant bouquet. It should not be forgotten that this is Alessandro Michele's first perfume, so he poured his entire soul into it. To create this delightful and ultra-feminine fragrance, the house of Gucci called upon Alberto Morillas.

Gucci Bloom, when perfumer Alberto Morillas creates a garden of white flowers

Alberto Morillas is what one would call a true self-taught talent. Born in Seville (Spain) in 1950, Alberto Morillas has kept the memories of Mediterranean scents. He specialized in chemistry before learning the craft of perfumery in its creative sense. He won the title of best perfumer in 1977 and that of master perfumer in 1998. In 1981, at only 24 years old, Alberto Morillas created Must by Cartier, and its success propelled him into the spotlight. Alberto Morillas is an avant-garde, highly creative perfumer. Regarding the creation of Gucci Bloom, Alberto Morillas states: When we began imagining this fragrance together, we had the image of an imaginary garden in mind. Alberto Morillas is behind such great successes as Valentina by Valentino, Miracle by Lancôme and Hot Couture by Givenchy.

The white flower garden of Gucci Bloom

Gucci Bloom is a luminous, floral fragrance that is extremely feminine. Its composition opens with sambac jasmine from India. Along with rose, jasmine is the most widely used flower in perfumery. Also known as Arabian jasmine, sambac jasmine originates from Arabia. It was introduced to India by the Duke of Tuscany in 1690. Its leaves are glossy dark green and its white flowers are highly fragrant. Sambac jasmine is the emblem of the Philippines and was declared the People's Flower of Indonesia in 1990. Jasmine is a symbol of feminine beauty, but it also represents purity. Jasmine also symbolizes 66 years of marriage. Since the 17th century, the city of Grasse has cultivated jasmine on a massive scale. No fewer than 7 million flowers are needed to obtain 1 kg of jasmine absolute essence. At the heart of compositions, sambac jasmine releases sweet, soft, syrupy, vanilla-like, powdery and highly floral tonalities. The heart of Gucci Bloom evolves toward a majestic bouquet of white flowers, continuing in that extreme luminosity. The heart notes are composed of tuberose, honeysuckle and iris. Finally, the base of Gucci Bloom is meant to be ultra sensual, composed of musks and Rangoon creeper. Rangoon creeper is a shrub with beautiful evergreen foliage. The color of its flowers changes depending on the flower's stage. White when it blooms, it turns light pink, then dark pink, then red before wilting. The bottle is rectangular and understated. In a pale pink color, it exudes femininity.
