Where to buy

Far from stopping at his original and adored green chypre, Jean-Louis Scherrer, together with perfumer Alberto Morillas, presented the opulent and so seductive Scherrer 2 in 1986. More open to all feminine hearts, the floral oriental is also marked, like its elder, by a distinctly couture spirit.

The elegant and original femininity of Scherrer 2

What could be more meaningful than naming a fragrance after one's own house? Indeed, by naming his first fragrance Jean-Louis Scherrer and his second fragrance Scherrer 2, Jean-Louis Scherrer affirms his unique style, in complete harmony between scents and couture, between haute couture creations and perfumery creations. An evident connection that was celebrated by all the women who loved the couturier's first fragrance, and one that would be equally appreciated in this new opus, Scherrer 2.

Indeed, while Scherrer 2 offers a new, fragrant vision of women, less green and more floral than the renowned Jean-Louis Scherrer fragrance, its floral-oriental elegance remains as original as it is timeless. Thus Scherrer 2 offers a highly sensual fragrant journey to the assertive woman of the 1980s, while bringing out her stylized grace.

The visual for Scherrer 2 presents, with the refinement so representative of its decade, a mysterious, half-unveiled woman who, dressed in a precious velvet glove, delicately perfumes herself with Scherrer 2. Clearly, the glamour of Scherrer 2 is undeniable, both in its presentation and in its composition.

Scherrer 2: a floral oriental linking the sensuality of the East with the luxury of the West

If Jean-Louis Scherrer the fragrance delighted in touching the summits with its glass bottle, Scherrer 2 did not hesitate to transform into a glass building, growing even taller to brush against the stars. Still signed by Serge Mansau, the bottle of Scherrer 2 seems to have elongated to stand out even more with its sublime and singular geometry.

While the opening of Scherrer 2 closely resembles that of its successor, the notes of mandarin, bergamot and green notes are, for this new opus, framed by aromatic star anise and a deliciously exotic, sweet pineapple. Jasmine and honey brighten the heart, while tuberose adds a mystery that is powdered with a lovely iris. Benzoin, vanilla and sandalwood offer their splendors from the East to this beautiful floral, which only asks to travel.

Described by Jean-Louis Scherrer upon its release in 1986 as sumptuous, carnal, seductive, voluptuous, Scherrer 2, just like its now-cult elder, has marked the hearts of women in a frank and utterly timeless way. The magic of a great fragrance!
