Gabrielle CHANEL

The Gabrielle perfume by CHANEL Gabrielle Chanel was a determined, bold and highly feminine woman. She is now considered one of the most remarkable figures of the last century. A touch rebellious, she can boast of having founded one of the finest houses of our heritage.

2017 promises to be a particularly rich year in terms of feminine fragrance creations, and Chanel is no stranger to this olfactory buzz. Indeed, the house has just announced the release of a brand new perfume named Gabrielle. As its name suggests, it is a tribute to the creator of this great fashion and perfume house. Gabrielle is a floral and abstract perfume, both sun-kissed and airy, perfectly in tune with current trends. Its bottle, meanwhile, aims to be authentic and timeless. It reinterprets one of Chanel's most beautiful bottles. Focus on the new bottle of the Gabrielle perfume.

Gabrielle, a bottle that transforms Chanel's iconic codes

The new bottle housing the Gabrielle perfume recalls, in several respects, the visual of the iconic Chanel N°5. Do you not recognize, in its lines, the revolutionary and elegant shape of Chanel's timeless legend? Gabrielle Chanel once wanted it understated and straight, with sharply cut angles, in contrast to the overly ornate shapes of the era. And this is precisely what is found in Gabrielle's visual. It is devoid of any extravagant detail. This only heightens its timelessness. Yet it lacks nothing in refinement and is the result of extraordinary work. It took five years of development and creative research. A true jewel, it respects all of the house of Chanel's authentic codes. Square-shaped, and designed in fine glass, it reflects sunlight. Moreover, its golden hue is in perfect harmony with the sun-kissed fragrance it contains. The whole is topped with a matte cap. To create this little jewel of creativity, the house of Chanel actually drew inspiration from a case given to Gabrielle Chanel by the Duke of Westminster. Its somewhat metallic color, meanwhile, recalls the fabrics used in Chanel's Haute Couture.

Gabrielle, a bottle signed by Sylvie Legastelois

This little jewel is the work of Chanel's dedicated designer, Sylvie Legastelois. This woman working behind the scenes has directed Chanel's creative studio since 1984. Her mission is to design all of the brand's bottles and packaging. She works out every detail, from the choice of materials to the typography used to the embossing of certain papers. Everything is then brilliantly thought through. At her side, around thirty collaborators support her and help bring her products to life. To this end, Chanel does not hesitate to use the latest technologies available to it, such as 3D printers, for instance. As Sylvie Legastelois explains, she needs to hold a shape in her hand. She must feel and touch things. It is essential to give an idea physical form in order to grasp its outcome: to know whether the cap is as they had imagined it, to determine the weight of the glass… She has a craftsman's approach, and 3D printers serve her creativity and her ideas. If the result of the new Gabrielle is anything to go by, in our humble opinion, it would seem that this method has proven itself well, and the result is more than ever up to our expectations.
