Furthermore, it remains the best-selling reference from the house of Viktor & Rolf, so much does its floral and gourmand character captivate women around the world. Year after year, Flowerbomb gives rise to different derivatives of its scent. This time, 2005 welcomes the new Flowerbomb Dew, like an enormous bouquet refreshed by the morning dew.
Flowerbomb Dew, an intoxicating new bouquet
Like its predecessors, Flowerbomb Dew is a fragrance that invites one to see life through rose-tinted glasses and seems filled with optimism. Whoever wears this fragrance is invited to see things from their best angle. Flowerbomb Dew is a new invitation to dream and imagination. From its very first notes, it delivers an explosion of sensations, between rigor and fantasy, restraint and excess. According to Viktor & Rolf, Flowerbomb Dew is a matter of skin, of contact, of emotion. Magic live. Flowerbomb was imagined as an ideal on the scale of the heart. A fragrance that would burst forth in a bouquet to defy the dangers of time. A bomb of flowers that would turn the negative into the positive. A geyser of sensations, of fresh waves, faceted with light, to celebrate life as a utopia. More concretely, this translates into a bouquet of noble flowers of absolute elegance, wrapped in freshness. Flowerbomb Dew opens on a vivid scent, similar to the morning dew settling on freshly bloomed flowers. It is a little as if nature were reclaiming its place, right before us. While many flowers occupy this composition, Flowerbomb Dew is more clearly dominated by the presence of rose and iris, noble flowers reserved for fine perfumery. Gradually, this fragrance becomes more sultry. It ends on a base of animalic and seductive musk.
Viktor & Rolf refines its image
Alongside the release of the new Flowerbomb Dew, the house of Viktor & Rolf decided to give a brand new face to the Flowerbomb saga. The house therefore called on actress Anya Taylor Joy to embody the image of its cult fragrance. Mainly famous for her role in the series Peaky Blinders, the young actress appears here in a surreal television campaign, in which she is portrayed as a kind of goddess of flowers.
In terms of design, the Flowerbomb Dew bottle remains similar to its predecessors. It is still a kind of glass grenade, cut like a diamond, and adorned with several beveled facets. A rose gold lacquer graces its plate and its cap. To become intoxicated with its scent, one simply needs to unpin the small black seal fixed to its neck, subtly bearing the initials of the house of Viktor & Rolf.

The advertising
While perfumery is a constant symbol of inventiveness, a world capable of endlessly giving rise to new compositions, it also likes to redeploy the full flavor of its greatest legends. This is why so many brands rethink, year after year, the cult recipes of their favorite fragrances. And this is precisely what Viktor & Rolf does with its Flowerbomb saga. As a bit of background, it was the brand's very first fragrance, born in 2005. Since then, it has continued to reveal itself through different olfactory facets. Even today, in 2020, it gives rise to Flowerbomb Dew. In this context, it comes with a brand new face and a short but energizing advertising spot. So, how about discovering its new advertisement in more detail?
Flowerbomb Dew, in a highly energizing and electro advertisement
Flowerbomb Dew by Viktor & Rolf preserves the soul of its predecessors. As such, it remains a very floral and explosive fragrance. However, it aims to be even airier than before. And this only amplifies its energy. It is precisely on this aspect that its new advertisement is based. The Viktor & Rolf marketing campaign lasts only 26 seconds. However, that is enough to immerse one in its vivid and highly optimistic world. It all begins with the name of this new composition, quickly followed by the Flowerbomb Dew bottle. There, the first notes of a very electro sound can be heard. It is the track Second Guess by Khamsin (feat. Anuka), taken from the eponymous album released in 2018. The flowers unfold all their sensuality with vividness here. Drops escape from their petals to give rise to this new fragrance. Gradually, this scent evaporates until it settles on the skin of a woman. Of course, this is the new face of Viktor & Rolf: Anya Taylor Joy.
Anya Taylor Joy, Hollywood’s new rising star as the face of Viktor & Rolf
For this new advertising campaign, the house of Viktor & Rolf pulled out all the stops and surrounded itself with an impressive cast… This advertisement is directed by the duo Inez & Vinoodh, particularly famous in the world of show business, notably for having collaborated with prestigious artists such as Björk and Lady Gaga. Anya Taylor Joy, for her part, is considered one of Hollywood’s greatest rising stars. Born in 1996 in Miami, she took on her first major film role in 2014, in the horror film The Witch. Two years later, in 2016, she also starred opposite James McAvoy in the psychological thriller Split, widely praised by critics. Since then, roles have followed one another: Glass, Pur-Sang, and The New Mutants from the X-Men saga, Anya Taylor Joy is active on every front at once. However, for the Flowerbomb Dew fragrance, this is indeed a brand new experience. Anya Taylor Joy takes on her first role as a face of a campaign, to the great delight of the Viktor & Rolf duo: At once sensual, mysterious and powerful, Anya perfectly embodies the message we wish to share.
