Viktor & Rolf
The story of the Viktor & Rolf house begins with a friendship. At the age of 20, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, both Dutch, met at the Art and Design academy. Graduating in 1992, they reunited in Paris and founded their fashion house in 1993. Very quickly, their style drew attention…

FloralThey launched into ready-to-wear in 2000. They launched a fragrance line in 2002, after signing a contract with Loréal. Their Milan boutique, whose décor is highly distinctive, opened in 2005… A brand that never ceases to surprise.
Viktor & Rolf, fashion codes reinvented
From the outset, Viktor & Rolf played on their resemblance to one another… Same glasses, same haircut, same outfit, one could think they were twins! Their creative bond is unparalleled and their style consists of reworking classics with refinement and detail. Their creations play with layering, accumulation, and clothes worn inside out. They are very fond of ruffles, an idea drawn from the centuries when queens wore great gowns and ruffled collars. They also love pleats reminiscent of origami and the use of draping. Viktor & Rolf reinvent every code of fashion with a subversive edge… A duo that could not be more original.
The perfumes of Viktor & Rolf
Following an agreement signed with Loréal, Viktor & Rolf launched their first feminine perfume in 2005, Flowerbomb. The duo wanted a fragrance that matched their image, explosive! It is therefore a true floral explosion, a call to sensuality. The bottle, for its part, resembles a grenade about to have its pin pulled. Success came quickly, even though Oslo airport banned the perfume because of its bottle shape. In 2012, Viktor & Rolf launched their only masculine perfume, Spicebomb. Like its feminine counterpart, Spicebomb is an olfactory explosion. After opening on bright notes of bergamot and grapefruit, Spicebomb explodes through very spicy and peppery notes such as chili pepper, pepper, saffron, leather… Other perfumes, other successes, notably with the Bonbon collection, which reveals a concentrate of indulgence and pleasure. Its pink glass bow-shaped bottle once again falls in line with the extravagant, unconventional spirit of the Viktor & Rolf brand.
Founded in 1993, the Viktor & Rolf brand is the artistic partnership of two men devoted to couture, art, innovation and above all nonconformity. Success came quickly, as their style astonishes and provokes. Offbeat, wild, inventive, Viktor & Rolf reinvent fashion codes together. The Dupont and Dupond of fashion shake up the traditional codes of haute couture. They see themselves as carrying forward an artistic approach rooted in history and art. Through their creations, the boundaries between art and couture gradually fade and disappear.
