Where to buy
Upon its release, it was described by the house as an intemporal sensation that invites a moment of pure pleasure. The woman who wears Bonbon, Viktor & Rolf explains, lives an unprecedented sensory experience bordering on auto-eroticism. A supreme pleasure that belongs only to her and reveals her own story. Celebrated, fulfilled, her femininity is elevated. Wishing once again to offer this sensation of happiness to women, Viktor & Rolf decided to repeat the experience, while softening the caramelized scent of the first Bonbon. Thus was born the new Bonbon Pastel of 2019.
Bonbon Pastel, a fragrance fully rooted in the world of Viktor & Rolf
Bonbon Pastel immediately recalls the world of Viktor & Rolf through its splendid bottle. Indeed, it features a glass screen unlike any other… Resulting from exceptional glasswork, it resembles a crystalline bow, whose pink hue has now been illuminated. Its flamboyant color seems to draw its source from its center, gradually fading and becoming crystalline at its edges. The whole is topped with a chrome cap, on which a black wax seal bearing the initials of Viktor & Rolf is affixed. This fragrance immediately evokes the couture world of Viktor & Rolf, in which the bow is emblematic. As a side note, with the new Bonbon Pastel, Viktor & Rolf wanted to evoke the very first sketch of a Haute Couture dress: elegant and delicate, like a pastel sketch. An explosion of pleasure on the skin that triggers, in the woman who wears it, an unprecedented sensory experience. Crafted like a sketch, the new Bonbon Pastel is nonetheless perfectly orchestrated, down to its smallest details.
When Viktor & Rolf's caramel becomes lighter and more luminous
To create this new fragrance, the house of Viktor & Rolf called on two talented perfumers: Cécile Matton and Serge Majoullier. Together, they drew inspiration from the caramelized breath of the previous Bonbon, while lightening it to make it more spring-like. At first, Bonbon Pastel combines a fresh, zesty bergamot with a spicier cardamom. Mandarin essential oil brings a tangier scent here. A marine accord, named Aqual, also refreshes the whole, while this opening is further brightened with orange blossom. Gradually, the sun-kissed breath of Bonbon Pastel becomes more gourmand. Caramel appears and immerses the wearer in a sweet, gourmand scent. Sandalwood reinforces the milky, creamy spirit of this fragrance. An amber accord and musk elevate the sensuality of this composition.
