Coach Dreams is a perfume that fully embraces the trends of the moment. Indeed, the younger generation is eager for discovery and travel. Never have so many people picked up a backpack to set off and discover the world! Young people are in love with travel and enjoy losing themselves in new cultures, only to return with heads full of memories. This is precisely what the new Coach Dreams is about. Stuart Vevers, creative director of the house of Coach, explains that Coach Dreams is a joyful and playful perfume. It draws inspiration from the carefree spirit and thirst for adventure of twenty-first-century dreamers, he says. In short, it reflects the euphoria of a road trip among friends. With this new perfume, Coach invites everyone to discover the world, and more particularly to conquer its home country: the United States. Let yourself be seduced by the grandeur of New York and the vastness of the American West landscapes!

Coach Dreams, a radiant perfume, like a treasure brought back from the other side of the globe

Coach Dreams is a floral perfume, an olfactory category widely used in women's perfumery. However, it possesses an undeniable dose of originality, incorporating captivating and surprising ingredients into its formula, rarely used by perfumers. To create this fragrance, Antoine Maisondieu displayed great originality. He first chose to use pear and bitter orange in the top notes. Thus, Coach Dreams is a very refreshing and green scent. Then, traditional gardenia takes its place in the heart, blending with another more unexpected raw material: cactus flower. Gradually, woody notes envelop the whole. Coach Dreams closes with a blend of Joshua tree and ambroxan, for a most seductive musky effect.
Coach Dreams comes in a very elegant and feminine bottle, resembling an apothecary vial. Its transparent glass holds an elegant pale pink juice. The whole is topped with a silver cap shaped like a flower. A small sequined leather cord also adorns its neck, as a nod to Coach's prestigious past as a leather goods maker. Finally, the name Coach Dreams appears on a plain white label, alongside Coach's iconic logo: one of the famous Central Park carriages.

Olfastory’s review

Perfumery is an ancestral craft that has long been linked to the world of leather goods and leatherworking. Indeed, there once existed the tradition of glove-making perfumers in the Grasse region, the world capital of perfumery. Similarly, many luxury houses first worked with leather before moving into perfumery, as the prestigious house of Hermès can attest. Following this same model in the United States, Coach first designed luxury bags before venturing into the world of scents. A strong symbol of American craftsmanship, Coach never forgets its origins and conceives each of its perfumes as a journey through America. The latest Coach Dreams, from 2020, follows this same path exactly. Let us see what this new olfactory road trip has in store.

The advertising

The house of Coach is famous for its New York origins and its sense of urban, city style. Yet this time, it seems the house is heading in an entirely different direction. Its perfume Coach Dreams is a call to escape and travel. It speaks to all free, adventurous women, eager for new discoveries. Naturally, to set the scene for this new scent, Coach accompanies it with an advertising campaign. So pack your passport and your bags, Coach Dreams takes everyone on an American road trip.

Coach Dreams, a scent symbolizing carefreeness and adventure

The perfume Coach Dreams owes its existence to Antoine Maisondieu and aims to convey all the euphoria of a road trip among friends. This fragrance carries deep optimism and gives off an uplifting scent. It opens first on fresh, fruity notes of bitter orange and pear. Then, Coach Dreams develops into a more floral heart of gardenia and cactus flower. Finally, it closes with a woody touch of Joshua tree and ambroxan. Light and airy, it is designed for all women who dream of travel and adventure. For anyone who is a globetrotter at heart, this fragrance already promises to win over hearts!

The advertisement for Coach Dreams: a promise of escape

To embody its new fragrance on screen, the house of Coach called on two chosen faces of the campaign: models Jean Campbell and Brinx Walton. Both were directed by filmmaker Fabien Baron, in a large-scale production worthy of American cinema. Jean Campbell explains: It was unreal. The production was huge, like on a Hollywood shoot. They harnessed our white Cadillac to the back of a truck and we drove across the whole desert like that, a truly unforgettable moment, explains Jean Campbell. Moreover, the young woman says she was particularly won over by the idea of this collaboration: Coach is a brand that feels especially close to me, because it has close ties to New York, where I lived during my high school years, she explains. Furthermore, for her, the ingredients of Coach Dreams (gardenia, cactus flower, and Joshua tree) are a beautiful range of the different varieties of plants one might encounter on a road trip. That is why this perfume truly transports us elsewhere. If these words are to be believed, the advertisement for the perfume Coach Dreams is therefore a fine success, in perfect harmony with the perfume itself. In this campaign, the two young women have fun taking on completely wild challenges during their journey. Climbing onto the back of a dinosaur or kissing a cowboy, it does not matter, nothing stops them! The scene, meanwhile, plays out to the sound of the track Catamaran by Allah-Las.
