The house of Lacoste, founded by the famous tennis player René Lacoste in 1933, has never stopped offering its cult polo shirts with green crocodiles around the world. Although it entered perfumery relatively early, in the 1960s, Lacoste fragrances had to wait until the 1980s-1990s to achieve real success. Now fully established in the field, Lacoste opened a new chapter in its fragrance history in 2011 with the L12.12 fragrances and the famous L12.12 Blanc composed by the talented Olivier Pescheux.

When Lacoste presents fragrances, they are necessarily in its own young and dynamic image, while also being elegant and built with great craftsmanship. Original, Booster, and Lacoste pour Homme all managed to convey Lacoste's values in sporty, airy fragrances throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
However, the house would later choose to move ever closer to its iconic polo shirts by creating fragrances composed entirely in the image of each one. Thus was born the lovely L.12.12 collection for men in 2011, built around three fragrances: L.12.12 Vert with its longing for nature, L.12.12 Bleu with its scents of the open sea, and finally L.12.12 Blanc with its sophisticated, pure and elegant accords.
Indeed, L.12.12 Blanc is certainly one of the most emblematic juices of the spirit of the Lacoste man, both through its elegance and through its floral notes with an almost dandyish sophistication. L.12.12 Blanc is also very emblematic of the style of the perfumer who composed it, Olivier Pescheux, in how much restraint it conveys. One should not forget his fine motto: To be oneself, authentic.

When Olivier Pescheux creates a fragrance, it must be original and airy, but also floral and fresh, in the image of his childhood memories in Provence. Thus, in composing L.12.12 Blanc, he set out to create a fresh and aromatic masculine that is also floral, built around the raw material he prefers above all others: ylang-ylang from the Comoros. I like patchouli, green notes, citrus, ylang-ylang, rose and so many others, Olivier Pescheux told Nose about his favorite raw materials.
Thus L.12.12 Blanc opens on the sporty, pure notes of rosemary and grapefruit, enhanced by a warm, spicy touch of cardamom. Then the woody, vibrant notes of Atlas cedar and olibanum welcome us into the heart of this L.12.12, which holds in store a lovely floral surprise of ylang-ylang and tuberose. These deep, sun-kissed flowers, rare in masculine perfumery, bring a touch of sophistication to the sporty L.12.12 Blanc, which will undoubtedly recall the elegance of Lacoste polo shirts. Finally, the multifaceted suede accord, between leather, musk and wood, blends perfectly with the freshness of the top notes and the floral sensuality of the heart notes of this L.12.12 Blanc, which is far more complex than it appears.
