Very much inspired by the Eaux de Cologne of the past, it brings together fragrances that are always very refreshing, evocative of a specific place on the globe. This time, in 2020, Guerlain chooses to take us to Andalusia. Focus on Granada Salvia, a true summer cocktail.

Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria, modern and refreshing Eaux de Cologne

Granada Salvia is the name of Guerlain's new Aqua Allegoria. As with each fragrance making up this collection, it is a more modern interpretation of an Eau de Cologne of the past. Granada Salvia has preserved all the freshness of its predecessors, while offering itself new longevity. It should also be noted that all of Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria draw on a specific garden, emblematic of a particular region of the planet. After California, India, Italy or Reunion Island, Guerlain now takes us to Spain. As its name suggests, Granada Salvia is a new travel story that takes us to the southeastern coast of Spain, to Andalusia.

But what ingredients does Guerlain use to evoke the scent of Andalusia? Here, it is a matter of sun, the Mediterranean and a tangy scent. The result is a sparkling and gourmand fragrance, refreshing and luminous. Granada Salvia promises a true escape for the senses. To achieve this, it relies on a blend of pomegranate and orange. With its ruby red color, pomegranate is mouthwatering, while being accompanied by other vivid and energizing fruits, such as lemon, blackcurrant and bergamot. White musk, for its part, brightens the whole, while being paired with a more aromatic sage. Finally, for greater longevity and character, oakmoss, cypress and patchouli enhance its sillage.

Like all of Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria, Granada Salvia comes in a cylindrical bottle, as a modern reinterpretation of the legendary Bee Bottle. As a reminder, this iconic Guerlain bottle first came to life in 1853, for the launch of the Eau de Cologne Impériale. Here, its rounded shape and dome have been preserved. Topped with a honeycomb dome, the Granada Salvia bottle plays with light, which is reflected here in a soft pink fragrance. A golden ball also appears at the top of this container, giving it a more precious look. A white label also displays its name on its sides, with restraint and refinement. Granada Salvia comes in two different sizes, 75 ml or 125 ml.
