Who does not know the very famous house of Guerlain? While it is one of the oldest couture houses, it is also one of the most luxurious. The story begins with Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain, who opened the first boutique in 1828, on rue de Rivoli in Paris. He would become the official supplier to Queen Victoria, the Queen of Hungary and the Russian Tsar. Guerlain is behind some of the greatest olfactory successes, such as Habit Rouge, Vétiver, l'Heure Bleue, la Petite Robe Noire, Idylle, Shalimar and l'Instant de Guerlain. In 2010, Guerlain unveiled Aqua Allegoria Flora Nymphea, a fragrance from the very chic Aqua Allegoria collection.

It was in 1999 that the house of Guerlain decided to create an original, entirely distinct collection: Aqua Allegoria. Through this new olfactory collection, Guerlain wanted to pay tribute to nature. Aqua Allegoria would not be a line of Eau de Cologne, since Aqua Allegoria offers, in an original style, a new conception of freshness. Aqua Allegoria presents itself in a spirit as refined as it is pared-down, breaking free of standards. Between allegory and elation, the Aqua Allegoria collection strays from the beaten path to offer its own vision of water and nature. Aqua Allegoria Flora Nymphea takes shape for the first time under the features of a nymph, the goddess of nature who became a mythical figure of art. An allegory of pure delicacy, Aqua Allegoria reveals the olfactory charms of an ephemeral garden made up of enchanting scents built around mock orange and orange blossom. Halfway between a fairy and a woman, Guerlain's nymph is meant to be thoroughly contemporary.
The soft, floral notes of Aqua Allegoria Flora Nymphea
It is Thierry Wasser, Guerlain's perfumer, who created this sumptuous water. Aqua Allegoria Flora Nymphea opens on herbaceous notes paired with fruity notes. The heart is built around mock orange, also known as the poets' flower, combined with the luminosity and softness of orange blossom. The base offers a lightly sweet softness, rounded out with a touch of honey. As for the bottle, it remains faithful to the tradition created by sculptor Robert Granai. The bottle's design is original, but has been adorned since 2010 with a gold label more precious than ever. The box is also far more elegant. Immaculate white, with a honeycomb-textured relief, the box now bears Guerlain's emblematic bee, rendered in the color of the fragrance within the Aqua Allegoria collection.
With the Aqua Allegoria collection, Guerlain invented a new way to pay tribute to nature. Between parfum, eau de toilette and eau de cologne, there is now Aqua Allegoria.
