Scandal Absolu is the intense parfum that Jean Paul Gaultier launched in 2024 in the Scandal line, signed by Daphné Bugey, Fabrice Pellegrin and Ane Ayo. The house describes it as an ambery chypre in which juicy black fig meets a heady tuberose and an ample sandalwood, in a bottle with gold-lacquered legs.
Jean Paul Gaultier describes an intense ambery chypre, at once floral and fruity. At the top, black fig, juicy and very sweet, leads to a heart of ample sandalwood; tuberose, heady and sensual, holds the base.
In its launch story, the house makes black fig, addictive and of a floral indecency, the opening, entrusts sensuality to tuberose and ends on a note of sandalwood. Its tier-by-tier list nonetheless makes sandalwood the heart note.

The label declares benzyl salicylate, linalool, coumarin, limonene, hydroxycitronellal, alpha-isomethyl ionone, farnesol, citral, benzyl benzoate and benzyl alcohol, with a UV filter, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, and two colorants, a yellow (CI 19140) and a red (CI 14700).
