When the precious Patchouli, Ambre and Musc were born in the late 1970s, the wish of the creator who had dreamed them up was to magnify a raw material, ideally oriental, revealing all its facets through other scents. The goal was to offer a fragrance that would honor the raw material far more than being made into a marketing object.

Although Patchouli was a masterpiece both artistically and commercially, the house of Réminiscence has never wished to change direction in 40 years of existence. Thus Tonka, like Vanille the year before, was meant to be a fragrance that would reveal the famous tonka bean in its finest attire while still relying on the base of the olfactory palette proposed in 1970. A challenge that Fabrice Pellegrin once again rose to brilliantly, offering a Tonka that is joyful, luminous and gourmand.

Warmth and gourmand character for a precious Tonka fragrance

From the beautiful Classiques de Réminiscence family, Tonka kept the curved bottle but lost a few stars from its bottle, transferring them instead onto its bright pink box. Understated, the cap has shifted from the original cylindrical shape into a lovely faceted steel stopper.

The beautiful Tonka opens on fresh, spicy effluvia thanks to bergamot, anise and clove, recalling the bitterness of the tonka bean. Then the gourmand character of honeyed notes mixed with almond creates a gingerbread effect, reinforced by wild labdanum. Jasmine adds its floral opulence to this gourmand heart wrapped in tonka bean. The depths of vanilla and white musks illuminate this Tonka, meant to be deep, soft and warm.
