Rose des Vents is the rose of Louis Vuitton’s first fragrance collection, launched in September 2016 and signed by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. The house sets it in a Grasse rose field tossed by the wind, made stately by iris and chilled by pepper, before the softness of a velvety fruit. Its French description has since replaced cedar with osmanthus.

Australian designer Marc Newson designed the collection’s bottles, according to Beautyscene and Prime Beauté. The latter sees them as a minimalist version of the apothecary vial: a rounded, transparent base, set off by a metal cap marked with the LV emblem.
The bottle can be refilled in Louis Vuitton stores equipped with a perfume fountain. It comes in 100 and 200 ml, and as a travel spray supplied with four 7.5 ml refills with magnetic closures that clip onto the atomizer in one gesture.
