Rem, then Eau de Rem or even Etoile de Rem, each bring a new way of immersing oneself in the waters of the world. For Etoile de Rem, Réminiscence dove into the marvelous water of the island of Bora-Bora to bring us back a few coconuts in a bottle, a delight!

Etoile de Rem or the warmth of the volcanoes of Bora-Bora

The house of Réminiscence has never hesitated to offer appealing novelties, both to please itself and to please enthusiasts of pretty “things”, whether through its high-end costume jewelry or its perfumes.

By opening the chapter of Rem, the house of Réminiscence wanted above all to share its taste for the intoxicating scents of the island of Saint-Barthélemy. In the end, the both familiar and novel scents of Rem met with such success that it was unthinkable not to write new chapters to this story of fragrant vacations. Etoile de Rem, released in 2008, thus offers a new seaside journey. But a journey even more exotic than its predecessors, offering, notably, a coconut flavor to the fragrant dive.

The sea has always been, for Zoé (my companion and my muse through magnificent years of closeness) and myself, the most beautiful source of inspiration, attributed to Nino Amaddeo, Réminiscence.

As is its habit, the house of Réminiscence chose not to conduct any particular promotion around Etoile de Rem. On the other hand, the magnificent visual designed for this Etoile de Rem is highly evocative of its dreamlike world. Amid palm trees, marvelous flowers and multicolored seaweed, Etoile de Rem “grows” in the middle of this dreamlike image to offer itself to our noses.

When the freshness of a marine fragrance meets the exotic warmth of a coconut

In order to highlight the warmth brought by the inspiration of the volcanoes of Bora-Bora, the famous seaweed on the cap of Etoile de Rem is tinted a vivid, dynamic orange. The glass pebble, on the other hand, remains unchanged except that it becomes transparent blue, like the waters of the marvelous island that inspired it.

Etoile de Rem opens on very fresh notes of bergamot and citrus. Then in the heart, marine notes lay down their invigorating iodine to better carry along in their swirl pretty sun-kissed, heady flowers built from notes of ylang-ylang and orange blossom. Coconut brings to this luminous heart its fresh, fruity and delightfully exotic touch. Finally, coumarin, through its marine animalic quality, creates the strength of the sillage of this Etoile de Rem, which also enjoys being tinted with a few touches of vanilla and white musk sweetness.

Etoile de Rem is a new story in Réminiscence’s beautiful notebook of vacation memories. Far from being merely a simple exotic flanker of Rem, it brings a radiant touch to this great Réminiscence dive into Caribbean seas...
