Yves Saint Laurent celebrates love in its new perfume, Mon Paris Intensément. Created in 2016, the perfume Mon Paris evokes all the love that the couturier Yves Saint-Laurent had for the beautiful French capital. Because it was in this place that he found inspiration throughout his career, the house bearing his name decided to turn it into a fragrance.
For Yves Saint-Laurent, the city of Paris has always been synonymous with passion, purity, emotion and freedom of morals. It was at the heart of Paris that he drew his inspiration and built his powerful reputation. To pay tribute to him, the house bearing his name decided to create a perfume named Mon Paris, in 2016. Reinvented in turn as an Eau de Toilette, then as a Parfum Couture and then as a Parfum Floral, this fragrance transforms once again in 2020. It becomes Mon Paris Intensément and is described by the house as Yves Saint-Laurent's new lovestruck vertigo. An intense and powerful declaration of love, in the image of the most dizzying Parisian icon: the Eiffel Tower. So, does Mon Paris Intensément live up to this fine promise? Here is our review of this fragrance, its design and its marketing campaign.

Mon Paris Intensément dons an elegant fuchsia bottle
Mon Paris Intensément is presented in a very refined bottle, drawing its origins from the history of Yves Saint-Laurent. Indeed, its round shape recalls that of the bottle of Paris, a perfume created in 1983. However, for this edition, it has been greatly modernized. This bottle features facets carved like those of a jewel, which play with light and reflect it in a new fuchsia color. Feminine and highly refined, the bottle of Mon Paris Intensément has a very couture style, further enhanced by a satin ribbon covered in organza at its neck. A leather cord is also attached to a golden charm bearing the house logo. Here, every detail is particularly sophisticated, for an infinitely frenchy result, giving off a typically Parisian elegance.
Mon Paris Intensément, the charm of Parisian chic and the French touch
As for the scent, Yves Saint-Laurent wanted to embody the full sparkling charm of Parisian chic. To design this perfume, the house called on three different perfumers, namely Olivier Cresp, Dora Baghriche and Harry Fremont. Here, they wanted to bring more depth to the white chypre that is the signature of Mon Paris, by blending the fascinating fragrance of datura with the richness of rose. The ingredients used in Mon Paris Intensément are all drawn from prestigious varieties and intertwine to form an elegant, precious and hypnotic perfume. The result is a warm and floral composition, with woody and sensual intensity.
The advertisement for Mon Paris Intensément, a celebration of love
For its communication, Yves Saint-Laurent launched the hashtag #MonParisJeT'Aime, accompanied by a new advertising campaign. Here, a couple meets at the top of the greatest Parisian icon: the Eiffel Tower. The whole scene unfolds at sunset, set to one of the most iconic French songs: La Bohème by Charles Aznavour. Mon Paris Intensément is the perfume of a spontaneous love. Sensual. Liberating. Excessive. Dangerous. A love that can only be lived in Paris. That overturns everything in its path, breaks every rule and makes one want to shout I love you! from the top of the Eiffel Tower...
