Luna Rossa Black

The Luna Rossa Black Prada men's fragrance Before being a fragrance, Luna Rossa is the name of an exceptional sailboat owned by Prada, its pride in the America's Cup.

When Miuccia Prada teamed up with the talented and somewhat artistic perfumer Daniela Andrier to compose fragrances, the duo of women worked wonders, including the grand and so distinctive men's fragrance launched in 2012, Luna Rossa. Since then, this handsome, virile and fresh fragrance has taken on multiple hues but has lost none of its striking contrasts, and although it has lost its lavender, the magnificent Luna Rossa Black, released in 2018, will do nothing to prove otherwise…

Luna Rossa Black, Daniela Andrier's powerful and so elegant work for Prada

Between Daniela Andrier and Miuccia Prada, the scented love story has lasted since their joint creation of Amber pour Homme in 2006. An olfactory love at first sight, a shared passion for creative drive as much as for the beauty of raw materials, the two women speak the same language, that of beauty.

Together they went on to create the Les Infusions collection, Candy and its flankers, as well as Prada's Homme and Femme fragrances. Of course, we should not forget the magnificent Luna Rossa, which from its very first olfactory notes offered a fragrance of challenge, far removed from the usual sporty fragrances.

My obsession was not to create yet another masculine sport fragrance, even though expectations for this type of fragrance are very high. Daniela Andrier on Luna Rossa in Les Echos.

Because Luna Rossa is not an ordinary men's fragrance. It plays with codes and eras to offer striking contrasts between warmth and freshness, intensity and softness. Luna Rossa has seen various flankers that likewise played with contrasting lights. This time, Luna Rossa Black brings additional force to these contrasts, offering animalic and sensual notes alongside powerful aromatic freshness. Luna Rossa Black is a shock, an explosion of scents.

When the fine aromatic Luna Rossa becomes a fine oriental, Luna Rossa Black is born

The latest addition to the Luna Rossa range, Luna Rossa Black, will not this time tell us of the aromatic beauties of lavender that made its signature in all previous bottles. However, it will not forget anything of its aromatic origins, thanks to new angelica notes.

Luna Rossa Black therefore opens, like its predecessors, on a powerful, fresh blend of bergamot and angelica. Then the heart of this Luna Rossa Black literally catches fire thanks to sensual notes of patchouli and wild, animalic coumarin. Finally, notes of amber and musk turn into intoxicating warmth, better to capture our conquered nostrils in a thread of sensual, warm scents.

The magnificent Luna Rossa Black therefore promises us the opposing forces of all the bottles in the Luna Rossa range, released with an even more intensified vitality thanks to the beauty of the olfactory clash between a somewhat retro freshness and resolutely modern animalic and woody forces. With Luna Rossa Black, Daniela Andrier pushes these contrary winds to their peak, all the better to surprise us once again with their incredible beauty…
