Carios

Julien Sprecher, founder and artistic director of Parfums de Marly, describes Carios as his vision of a contemporary fougère, stating that he wanted the classic structure to remain recognizable, while pushing it toward a new intensity: the freshness of red mandarin and thyme is unsettled by the warmth of tonka bean. The fragrance was first offered exclusively in the house's boutiques and on its official website starting September 10, 2025, ahead of a broader selective distribution rollout from September 22, 2025.

The bottle of the Les Extraits collection is made of tapered crystalline glass engraved with a 3D faceted horse. The cap of Carios is adorned with the “Clous de Paris,” a geometric motif evoking the paving stones of the royal avenues leading to the Château de Marly. The eco-designed, reusable box features a guilloché pattern inspired by the high-precision mechanical engraving of the eighteenth century, a direct reference to the era that serves as the source of inspiration for the entire collection.
