Lolita Lempicka (born Josiane Maryse Pidival) created her very first fragrance in 1995 and launched it in 1997 under the name Premier Parfum Lolita Lempicka. The designer asked the celebrated nose Annick Ménardo to create a fairy-tale, childlike fragrance, yet also delicately sensual and romantic, one that would capture in scent the symbolic passage between the innocence of childhood and a woman's desire for seduction.

Le Premier Parfum, or the blend of innocence and seduction

Le Premier Parfum Lolita Lempicka is, as its name indicates, the very first fragrance from the celebrated haute couture designer Lolita Lempicka. Being very close to a creative world rich in color and often dreamlike, this fragrance needed its scent, bottle and story to carry a fantastical tale, one that would ideally carry every young woman along in its sillage.

Indeed, aimed particularly at a young audience, and later at a somewhat older one too, Lolita Lempicka stated that it was in her most distant memories that she drew inspiration to recapture an intense moment when the child awaits becoming a woman. Quite logically, the communication around Le Premier Parfum Lolita Lempicka centered on two different and complementary themes: the naivety and candor of childhood, and the dreamlike, forbidden beauty of first stirrings of desire.

In the first visuals as well as the first advertising spot, the young heroine Charlotte Le Bon appears as a fairy-woman moving through a forest that is both fantastical and full of dangers. Le Premier Parfum de Lolita Lempicka appears like a vial of a love potion in an enchanted setting. Yet innocence is only appearance, and the many allusions to the Garden of Eden and to Temptation are numerous: Your false innocence at the heart of a real tale. Moreover, the visual strongly evokes Botticelli's famous Venus, a symbol of love and fertility.

A gourmand oriental leading the way among sweet fragrances: Le Premier Parfum

Just as the communication around Le Premier Parfum de Lolita Lempicka suggests, the bottle and the fragrance alike are a clever blend of dreamlike poetry and seductive, amorous compositions. Naturally, the apple-shaped bottle recalls the forbidden fruit, and the bite mark etched into the glass makes the reference all the more explicit. Yet the delicate juice takes on rather girly mauve hues, and the engraved golden foliage lends this elegant, original and seductive bottle a delicate adornment.

As for the fragrance, Lolita Lempicka says: to the child I offered flavor, to the woman, the flower. That is how the intoxicating nectar of the licorice flower was born. The powerful, entrancing top notes of anise already make for a striking entrance into this beautiful juice, Le Premier Parfum de Lolita Lempicka. The delicate heart notes of violet, paired with childlike, delicately sweet notes of raspberry, evoke the candor of childhood memories. Yet the sillage moves toward the woman in the making, offering a subtle marriage between the powdery poetry of tonka bean, precious iris and white musks, and the gourmand power of licorice, vanilla and praline. A marriage of flowers and sweet notes, sustained by the strength of vetiver.

Le Premier Parfum de Lolita Lempicka is therefore the fragrance of the young girl awakening into womanhood, the child who loved fruit and sweets, and the woman who blossoms amid beautiful, precious armfuls of white, powdery flowers. From this gourmand oriental blend, one of the first of its kind alongside Angel, Lolita Lempicka made a best seller that remains just as relevant today, ultimately speaking to every woman-child.

The advertising

Released in 1997, Le Premier Parfum Lolita Lempicka is a fragrance between indulgence and femininity. As its name suggests, it is the very first fragrance from the young designer Josiane Pidival. Clad in mauve and interlaced with golden ivy leaves, its bottle shaped like a forbidden fruit is a true enchantment. Feminine, bold and sensual, Le Premier Parfum is a major success for Lolita Lempicka. Echoing the myth of Adam and Eve, Lolita Lempicka carries us into a wholly enchanted world. It called for an advertising film worthy of our dreams.

Elle Fanning, in the heart of the forest for Lolita Lempicka Le Premier Parfum

The story takes place in a lush, misty forest in Sologne. A somewhat wild young girl seems to live there. She encounters a stag. This young girl is Elle Fanning. Born in 1998 in Georgia, Elle Fanning had her first roles in Somewhere and in Steven Spielberg's Super 8. In 2016, at Cannes, Elle Fanning represented the psychological thriller The Neon Demon by Nicolas Winding Refn. Suffice it to say that Elle Fanning is a highly talented actress. In the film for Le Premier Parfum, Elle Fanning bears a look both mischievous and provocative, leading us into the undergrowth. Nature is lush and the light is deep. In perfect harmony with the setting, Elle Fanning appears completely natural, without makeup. As the music quickens, Elle Fanning adorns herself with stag antlers. Then the stag approaches, majestic. As a tear runs down the beauty's face, the wind rises to accompany their embrace. The advertisement plays heavily on the ambiguity of its ambassador, portraying a woman-child who is at times naive, at times wild. The film is directed by Yoann Lemoine.

Thylane Blondeau, the new 2017 face of Le Premier Parfum

To embody the new advertising campaign, Lolita Lempicka called on a young and beautiful ambassador, Thylane Blondeau, 16 years old. Young as she is, Thylane Blondeau has already been named the most beautiful girl in the world. Daughter of footballer Patrick Blondeau and television host Véronika Loubry, Thylane Blondeau appeared on the cover of Vogue Enfants magazine at age 6. Thylane Blondeau has already been the face of L'Oréal and of Dolce & Gabbana. When asked about the choice of its ambassador, the Lolita Lempicka house states that her dizzying journey is followed by millions of young girls around the world, who recognize themselves in this flamboyant personality, equally at ease in the woods of her native Provence and on red carpets. Between two ages, Thylane perfectly embodies the enchanting world of Lolita Lempicka, between the innocent delicacy of tender youth and the sensuality of the woman coming into being.

Through its two extraordinary ambassadors, the house of Lolita Lempicka offers a fairy-tale, luminous representation of its Premier Parfum.
