Overture 41

Overture 41 was released in 2026 in the Exceptional Extraits, Amouage’s most concentrated line of extraits, alongside Decision 42. Annick Ménardo, who composed Overture Woman, signs its extrait version under the direction of Renaud Salmon, the house’s creative director.

An ingénue turned diva

Amouage describes Overture Woman, the original eau de parfum, as a diva, an uncompromising presentation of operatic elegance. Overture 41 carries the story further: the ingénue becomes a diva who returns to tell her tale with new passion and vigor.

Renaud Salmon already considered Overture Woman a dramatic fragrance. He sees in the singer of Overture 41 an echo of the tree in Decision 42, the juniper struck by lightning in the extrait launched alongside it.

An extrait at 41%

The number in the name gives the concentration: 41% perfume concentrate. The house places its eaux de parfum between 15 and 35%, its extraits between 40 and 56%, and reserves pure concentrate for its attars.

The juice ages for six weeks before bottling, four of maturation and two of maceration, the reverse of Decision 42. Amouage says it measured the effect of each duration and each dosage before settling on them.

In the boutiques

Overture 41 is sold in a 100 ml bottle in Amouage boutiques and on the house’s website. For the campaign visuals, Amouage says it drew inspiration from the organza fabrics of the opera, their lightness and movement translated into sculptural forms.
