J’adore Absolu is the eau de parfum absolue Dior launched within the J’adore line in October 2018. François Demachy built it around flower absolutes, Grasse jasmine above all, with sambac jasmine, rose and magnolia, over honeyed notes of orange blossom. The house describes it as a floral nectar, presented in an amphora with a supple necklace.
Nicholas (eauxSILLAGE) smells a white floral without fruit or greenery, dominated by a humid magnolia: stunning in his eyes, but barely recognizable as a J’adore.
What critics say
Nicholas, eauxSILLAGE
Nicholas, who reviews the J’adore flankers on eauxSILLAGE in November 2020, finds in J’adore Absolu neither fruit nor greenery, only white flowers. He smells a white floral nuanced with citrus, dominated by a humid magnolia in full bloom more than by the announced jasmine.
He judges it stunning, but struggles to recognize J’adore in it.
