Ivoire is the 2012 version of the perfume Balmain launched in 1979. Michel Almairac and Jacques Flori, perfumers at Robertet, lightened its aldehydic top without losing its spirit. Mandarin, galbanum and violet leaf open onto rose, jasmine, iris and ylang-ylang, resting on vetiver, cedar, patchouli and vanilla: a green floral chypre, brighter than its predecessor.

For the 2012 version, Balmain dressed Ivoire in a bottle of heavy, clean-lined glass, rectangular in shape. A clear cabochon tops it, set on a white collar that recalls the ivory of its name. The eau de parfum comes in 30, 50 and 100 ml.
The Ivoire that Balmain Beauty launched in 2024 changes its attire: the house presents it in a refillable clear glass bottle of 50 ml, and puts the packaging weight saved by the refill at nearly half.
