This is Him marks a real turning point for the Zadig Voltaire house. Moreover, it represents this house's entry into the big leagues of perfumers.
How can perfume translate the daring tone that the Zadig & Voltaire label uses to stir our hearts with its chic and rock collections, daring yet elegant? For the house, it will suffice to turn to four great names in perfumery, who will know how to compose two fragrances tailored exclusively to express its values: This is Her and This is Him.
This is Him reveals in perfume the values of the Zadig & Voltaire label
The very first fragrant couple from the chic and daring house Zadig & Voltaire will not lack spice, and This is Him asserts itself in a powerful yet elegant light to surprise us even further! It is true, moreover, that the famous Parisian label was highly anticipated in the field of perfumery, given how distinctive and original the style of the Zadig & Voltaire collections is.
This is Him, together with its alter ego This is Her, will thus give the finest possible impetus to the rock, rebellious yet always chic man that Zadig & Voltaire has been dressing for several years now. Nathalie Lorson and Aurélien Guichard worked hand in hand to compose a This is Him as powerful as it is tender, one capable of being the perfect companion to the beautiful bottle This is Her, composed by Sidonie Lancesseur and Michel Almairac. Indeed, the two fragrances were written to meet and to be perfectly complementary in their now typical Zadig & Voltaire woody signature, sandalwood.
This is Him may well be a tough guy with a tender heart, but it also knows how to stand on its own, leaving its mark with contrasting notes of freshness and intense warmth. The Zadig & Voltaire man has a multifaceted personality, and This is Him has attempted to capture its richness by seeking to find the right balance between a very clear, fresh perfume and a darker, more mysterious touch, according to Cécilia Bönstöm, artistic director at Zadig & Voltaire.
This is Him, or the new rock sensuality signed by Nathalie Lorson and Aurélien Guichard
Nathalie Lorson, creator of This is Him alongside Aurélien Guichard, states: I love working with rose, musky notes, vetiver, but I will not name a single raw material because that would be too reductive! The ones I dislike? Slightly dirty animalic notes. I find that old-fashioned, outdated, and I believe one can express sensuality in a much more modern and subtle way.
It comes as little surprise, then, to find this new sensuality described by the perfumer in the lovely This is Him. In response to the freshness and impertinence of the grapefruit and black pepper notes, incense forms a magnificent cloud of mysterious, enveloping smoke that introduces the magnificent woody depths of this This is Him, as striking as it is charming. For sandalwood intoxicates us and, above all, calls in the most beautiful way to its fragrant match, the gourmand-woody lady This is Her.
