Hero
Hero, a new fragrance signed Burberry Burberry is a brand famous the world over that embodies the quintessence of English elegance. Since the appearance of its logo in 1901, the creation of its trench coat for the war of 14-18, the arrival of Christopher Bailey at its helm, or the more recent appointment of Ricardo Tisci to head its creation, Burberry has come a long way and has seen a wide range of milestones.

Where to buy
And the year 2021 also intends to leave its mark. It has been exactly 40 years since Burberry began crafting fragrances for men. To properly celebrate this fourth decade, the house decided to create a new masculine essence: Hero by Burberry.
Hero, the fragrance of a man with multiple faces
Hero by Burberry is a fragrance conceived in keeping with today's London society: it is multiple. It embodies, on its own, the full diversity of the British population. Thus, it depicts the portrait of a new masculine elegance, sometimes classic or more exotic, urban and sexy or more authentic and reserved. Undeniably, Hero by Burberry was born in the city and sculpts for us the image of a new modern-day warrior, who does not hesitate to break boundaries and shatter codes. A concentrate of luxury and elegance, it can just as well enhance a businessman as an athlete. In this sense, it speaks to the new generation better than anyone!
The lively and aromatic composition of Hero by Burberry
In terms of scent, Hero by Burberry has a relatively short formula. However, it offers a true flow of opposing and contrasting sensations. It begins with a lively, stimulating sensation. This results from a warm-cold contrast between bergamot and black pepper. On one side, the zesty, refreshing breath of bergamot gives us a genuine thrill, while black pepper warms and spices the whole. This is then carried forward by a heart of juniper, small blackish berries with a peppery, slightly resinous flavor. Finally, as if to assert its virility, Hero by Burberry ends with a final woody breath of cedar, giving this fragrance all its persistence and longevity. Overall, Hero by Burberry gives off a highly stimulating sensation in its sillage. Soft and at times sharp, it conceals behind its virility a pure, airy sensation.
Burberry, or the simplicity of a trapeze-shaped bottle
As for the bottle, Hero by Burberry clearly aims for universal appeal. To that end, it is devoid of any embellishment. Streamlined and minimalist, its glass case relies on a transparent trapeze-shaped base, paired with a cylindrical, black, opaque cap. Here, contrasts attract each other and form a single, harmonious whole. The name Burberry Hero appears on its front face in black capital letters. Finally, in terms of size, Hero by Burberry comes in three spray bottle sizes: 50, 100 and 150 ml.

Coastal run and centaur
Adam Driver runs and swims with a horse until he becomes a centaur, in a film by Jonathan Glazer released on 2 August 2021.
The campaign was released on August 2, 2021. The film is directed by Jonathan Glazer, the visuals photographed by Mario Sorrenti, starring Adam Driver. The credits mention the creative direction of Riccardo Tisci, production by Academy Films, Benjamin Pexton on set photography, One of Us on visual effects, with Adam Driver and FKA twigs credited.
The setting is a coastline. Driver, bare-chested, runs then swims alongside a horse, until a fusion between man and animal reveals the silhouette of a centaur in the final image. The track Two Weeks by FKA twigs accompanies the run. The trade press describes an approach in which man and horse answer each other in their movements to transform into a mythical creature, read as a metaphor for personal transformation and a challenge to stereotypes of masculinity.
FKA twigs had already appeared in an accessories campaign for the house. Driver, Glazer and Sorrenti were brought together again for the Hero Eau de Parfum campaign, following the first eau de toilette campaign, which had gone viral.
