Terre d'Hermès Eau de Parfum Intense

Terre d’Hermès Eau de Parfum Intense, launched by Hermès in 2025, is Christine Nagel’s third take on Terre d’Hermès. This deep woody fragrance pairs a fiery bergamot with burning wood, underpinned by the mineral notes of lava stone, and places at its heart an accord of licorice and coffee that, according to the perfumer, was born of the idea of a volcano.

Designed by Philippe Mouquet, the bottle looks molten: edges and H-shaped base lacquered reddish-brown, topped by a matte black metal cap recalling lava stone.

The bottle of Terre d’Hermès Eau de Parfum Intense is the work of designer Philippe Mouquet. Hermès gives it the look of molten matter: its edges are wrapped in a reddish-brown lacquer that extends down to the base, stamped with the house’s emblematic H.

A matte black metal cap, evoking lava stone, crowns the whole. The reddish-brown lacquer echoes Christine Nagel’s volcanic inspiration, which the perfumer says she found very early in her work on the fragrance.

The bottle is refillable: the 30, 50, 100 and 175 ml sizes can be replenished with a 200 ml refill sold separately. It combines glass and aluminum, two materials the house describes as largely recyclable.
