L'Essence de Gabrielle CHANEL Gabrielle Chanel had a difficult childhood. Yet, as if these hardships had pushed her to go beyond herself to reach her dreams, she ended up becoming one of the most illustrious female figures of France.
All the perfumers of the house of Chanel have known how to magnify the splendid legacy of Coco Chanel's extraordinary personality while offering the house of Chanel a modernity that constantly renews itself. As a result, each Chanel bottle is the marriage of past and present, each time reviving the strength of Gabrielle, of this woman who was above all free. Gabrielle is certainly one of the Chanel fragrances that has most brought into the light the light of this woman so ahead of her time; Gabrielle Essence will capture even more of this sunshine in a bottle…
Gabrielle Essence, or the realm of the sun-kissed tuberose flower of Grasse!
When Olivier Polge arrived not long ago as the house of Chanel's official perfumer, he captured the sun-kissed spirit of its great founder to turn it into a fragrance; it was named Gabrielle. And Gabrielle would tell us the story of this woman, Gabrielle Chanel, a feminist ahead of her time but above all with an avant-garde and luminous aura that made her shine before everyone. Gabrielle is therefore a fragrance that showcases luminosity through fiery flowers such as orange blossom, tuberose, ylang-ylang or jasmine, all becoming delicately fruity but above all deliciously sensual.
In order to open a new fragrant chapter for Gabrielle, Olivier Polge sought to illuminate even further the exceptional flowers that make up Gabrielle, especially this Grasse tuberose developed exclusively between the perfumer and the grower after years of relentless work.
We worked on unprecedented distillation techniques, which make this extract very particular. […] This does not mean that these other extracts are of lesser quality, but they are different. Our tuberose is a properly Chanel tuberose. Olivier Polge for Le Temps.
Gabrielle Essence will therefore make its appearance in September 2019 to magnify this human bond between the birth of the flower and the fragrance, between the woman and her fiery flowers, while placing emphasis on the tuberose, a unique tuberose grown in the sun and in the passion of those who watch it grow.
In praise of light and warmth with Gabrielle Essence
If the fragrant compositions of Gabrielle and Gabrielle Essence seem to be roughly the same, the concentrations of each olfactory element are, on the other hand, quite different. Indeed, in Gabrielle, the sun-kissed flowers, the woody depths and the citrus-fruity top notes are balanced against one another. In Gabrielle Essence, Olivier Polge sought to intensify the floral notes by increasing their proportions, particularly with regard to tuberose.
Gabrielle Essence thus opens with fresh notes of mandarin and grapefruit tinged with a touch of blackcurrant berries. At the heart, opulence dominates with an overdosed bouquet of sun-kissed flowers composed of jasmine, ylang-ylang, tuberose and orange blossom. Finally, sandalwood and musk anchor the base of this floral elixir in bursts of intense sensuality; the Gabrielle Essence woman could only be feminine and deeply charming.
