Between Daniela Andrier, an accomplished perfumer behind numerous creations such as Le Monde est beau or Emporio Elle, and Miuccia Prada, it is a love story and a fragrant passion that has lasted since the house's debut in perfumery in 2005. The two women quickly found a shared inspiration, a shared desire to sketch in perfume scents that recall memories of the past married to modern, even unprecedented, accords.

So it is hardly surprising that in 2011, Candy revealed itself to be a very modern gourmand perfume that combined retro powdery touches and unprecedented overdoses of caramel. Far from being just a gourmand perfume, Candy would go on to offer multiple olfactory “faces”, just waiting to burst forth in flanker bottles to be discovered.
Candy Sugar Pop thus explores the fruity facets of its famous ancestor Candy by adding sparkling fruity notes to a gourmand character that becomes more floral and lighter.

It is a fact that, since Angel in 1992, gourmand perfumes have taken over the shelves of our perfumeries and never left. By launching Candy, the house of Prada aligned itself with this strong trend; however, Daniela Andrier and Miuccia Prada carefully avoided falling into easy solutions and offer with Candy Sugar Pop in particular a journey through notes that are gourmand, certainly, but also sophisticated and original.
Candy Sugar Pop opens on citrus notes transformed largely by a powerful, fresh bergamot. Green apple, the surprise guest of Candy Sugar Pop, brings to this opening a slightly sharp but above all very spring-like fruity flight. Then the floral notes of the heart join the delicate, delicious velvety quality of a peach. Finally, Candy Sugar Pop leaves behind the power of heliotropin and benzoin found in Candy, giving way instead to a softer, more delicate gourmand quality of vanilla and caramel.
