Sophia Grojsman is one of the most renowned noses on the planet, responsible for numerous olfactory successes. The beginnings of Sophia Grojsman

Sophia Grojsman was born in the Soviet Union and was very quickly fascinated by nature, the smell of wildflower fields and the scent of the forest. In fact, she quickly preferred long walks to toys. It is therefore at the heart of her native Belarus that she draws her inspiration, often based on rosy tonalities. She began her career in 1965 at International Flavors and Fragrances (or IFF), in the United States, in 1965. She received advice from one of the greatest perfumers of the era, Ernest Shiftan, whom she considers to be her mentor. She then created her compositions with passion until she rose to the very top of perfumery, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award in 1994 for her career as a perfume creator, from the Cosmetic Executive Women organization of New York. Likewise, in 1996, she received the Living Legend Award from the American Society of Perfumers.

While Sophia Grojsman is interested in a wide range of scents, she specializes particularly in rosy notes. It is to her that we owe Eternity by Calvin Klein, Yvresse or Paris by Yves Saint-Laurent, as well as Trésor by Lancôme. In fact, an anecdote lies behind this last perfume. In reality, Sophia Grojsman had originally created it for herself. Fascinated by her own essence, she soon had it adopted by Lancôme. It met with immense success and is, still today, one of the stars of modern perfumery. In fact, this juice was very recently modernized with the appearance of Trésor In Love, a perfume reappearing 20 years later but still endowed with an unparalleled charm.

Today, Sophia Grojsman is considered responsible for a true revolution in the world of perfumery. She managed to inaugurate a new style of perfumes that are both classic and modern, becoming a sort of Picasso of perfumery.
