Within this olfactory assemblage, raw materials are elevated and appear as dreamlike, bucolic poems. In 2023, a newcomer joins this collection: Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver.
The Aqua Allegoria fragrance collection was created to celebrate the world's most beautiful wonders. Its ambition? To pay tribute to the beauty of nature and elevate the most fascinating raw materials through the expertise of Guerlain's perfumers. In 2023, a newcomer makes its appearance. Named Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver, it takes us just off the Bay of Naples. Synonymous with Dolce Vita, it unfolds a luminous, floral and woody sillage. In terms of aesthetics, it reclaims Guerlain's timeless Bee Bottle.
The Bee Bottle, part of Guerlain's heritage
Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver is an invitation to rediscover Guerlain's history. Indeed, like all the juices in this collection, it comes in a modern reinterpretation of the famous Bee Bottle. As a reminder, it was imagined for the very first time in 1853, for Empress Eugénie. This glass case has been modernized. This time, it is a transparent cylinder topped with a finely chiseled dome and a golden ball as a cap. In terms of sizes, the Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver bottle comes in two sizes, 125 ml and 75 ml.
A dive into traditional perfumery
All the Aqua Allegorias come in an identical bottle. In reality, only two elements distinguish the fragrances from one another: their label and the color of their juice. Through this choice, Guerlain reclaims a practice that was once very common in traditional perfumery. Indeed, at the time, vials were all identical. Only apothecaries held the secret, and good eyesight, to tell them apart. For the Aqua Allegorias, it is exactly the same thing!
The bee, an essential element for Guerlain
Another element inseparable from the Aqua Allegoria collection: the bee. It is engraved at the top of the cap of Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver. Moreover, the dome of this bottle forms honeycomb cells like those of a beehive. It must be said that the bee has always been intimately linked to Guerlain's history. For the house, it is a symbol of environmental preservation. It also embodies Guerlain's love of nature. With it, Guerlain invites us to forage across the world and discover all its scents.
The new botanical color of Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver
Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver is embodied by its pale green juice. This is an instant evocation of lush nature. Moreover, it is also a very luminous green, leaning slightly toward yellow. Through this choice, Guerlain also indicates that this fragrance is steeped in sunshine and light. It is a creation with a very summery connotation.
Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver and its refillable bottle
Finally, with the aim of preserving resources, all the bottles in the Aqua Allegoria collection were redesigned in 2022: since that date, they have all been made from 15% recycled glass. They are also refillable. For this, a 200 ml refill is sold separately. When your bottle is empty, simply unscrew the spray nozzle and refill it. Also note that the Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver bottle is made of 15% recycled glass. Finally, it is manufactured and assembled in France.
