Amor Amor

Amor Amor is organized into four top notes, three heart notes and three base notes. The fruits of the opening, the rose and apricot of the middle and the vanilla of the base outline a fruity floral that leans toward amber.

A citrus top tipped over by blackcurrant

Mandarin, grapefruit and orange open the fragrance. The brand specifies a pink grapefruit and a blood orange, two varieties sweeter and rounder than their usual versions, which steers it from the outset toward the fruit rather than the peel.

Blackcurrant accompanies them. Nez’s review places it in the opening, where it brings the green acidity that keeps the citrus from turning into syrup.

A brief heart of rose and apricot

Rose holds the center, but discreetly: the review published by Nez describes it as a self-effacing floral.

Apricot comes second and extends the fruits of the opening. Jasmine completes the tier; the brand names it explicitly.

A base that pulls the fragrance toward amber

Vanilla dominates. It gives the fragrance its sweet signature and explains the gourmand label that critics have readily attached to it since its release.

Sandalwood and amber accompany it. Bois de Jasmin cites them as the materials that tip Amor Amor toward the oriental; Nez’s review finds this sandalwood in a base it describes as vanillic and milky.

Grenadine, an effect rather than a material

Grenadine is often cited as a raw material of Amor Amor. Nez speaks of it rather as an effect, an impression of red syrup produced by the blend of fruits.

Nez also perceives raspberry, red apple and a milky note, tasting impressions rather than declared ingredients. Other descriptions attribute bergamot, cassia, lily, lily of the valley, tonka bean, musk and Virginia cedar to the fragrance, none of which the brand names.
