Amor Amor came out in 2003, composed for Cacharel by Dominique Ropion and Laurent Bruyère, both then at IFF. A fruity floral made instantly mouthwatering by its top of citrus and blackcurrant, before a discreet rose and a vanilla base where amber and sandalwood surface. Its red bottle with a metal stem made it a recurring Valentine’s Day gift, and critics, reluctant at first, came to praise its construction.
A red glass bottle shaped like a small pomegranate, wrapped in a metal spiral like a rose stem, with a thorny rose engraved on the glass.
The bottle comes in bright red glass, with a metal wire coiled around the spray nozzle like the stem of a rose, described at times as metallic, at times as silver. The silhouette of a long-stemmed rose is engraved in the background of the glass.
This red bottle is presented as an emblematic pomegranate and compared to a love-potion vial. The eau de toilette comes in 30, 50 and 100 ml.
