The perfumers of audacity
In order to imagine a fragrance worthy of Thierry Mugler's audacity, he called upon Dominique Ropion and Laurent Bruyère. They crafted this fragrance as a precious talisman. Dominique Ropion was drawn to olfactory emotions from an early age, as his mother and grandfather worked at Roure. Dominique Ropion studied physics and knows every ingredient and every technique perfectly; some call him a genius. He is responsible for beautiful compositions such as Very Irresistible by Givenchy, Olympéa by Paco Rabanne, and Pure Poison by Christian Dior. As for Laurent Bruyère, he was a self-taught perfumer. After starting his career at Charabot, he joined the great house IFF, then Mane, and finally Robertet. Laurent Bruyère unfortunately passed away in 2008, at the age of 43, but he leaves behind great fragrances such as Amor Amor by Cacharel and Paris Première Rose 2016 by Yves Saint Laurent. Alien was built around three facets: amber, floral, and woody. Alien is regarded as a true olfactory shock. The fragrance is truly dominated by sambac jasmine. Also called true jasmine or Arabian jasmine, sambac jasmine is a highly esthetic and highly fragrant plant. Native to India, sambac jasmine bears magnificent small white flowers. Grasse abounds in grafted jasmine, whose production today is entirely reserved for the house Chanel. Other estates have since begun replanting jasmine, such as the Domaine de Manon, where the harvest from its 3.5 hectares is reserved for the house Dior, mainly for its fragrance J'Adore.
