Rabanne ranks 1 Million among woody spicy fragrances and describes it through an accord of blood mandarin, woody cinnamon and leathery amber. Back in 2008, the house already classified it in the same family, with a spicy secondary family.

Mandarin, cinnamon and leather

The top note combines blood mandarin, grapefruit and a mint the house describes as icy. The heart brings together cinnamon, rose and spicy facets; the base sets down leathery amber, smoky woody notes and Indian patchouli.

The notes are arranged here as follows: mandarin, grapefruit and mint in the top notes; cinnamon, rose and spices in the heart notes; leather, amber, patchouli and woody notes in the base notes.

From one presentation to another

The 2008 presentation named a peppermint, a rose absolute, a blond leather and white woods. The house's current page speaks of icy mint, leathery amber and smoky woody notes, without saying whether the formula has been adjusted.

What the label declares

Alcohol, fragrance and water open the list. The rest declares the allergens: coumarin, limonene, hydroxycitronellal, alpha-isomethyl ionone, linalool, benzyl alcohol, cinnamal, eugenol, citral, isoeugenol, citronellol and geraniol.

Cinnamal is the molecule that gives cinnamon bark its odor; geraniol and citronellol are among the constituents of rose essence. The list carries neither lilial nor lyral.
