Yes I Am

At the center of Yes I Am, the house places an accord it calls Spicy Cremoso: a cardamom milk, spicy and smooth, inspired by chai latte. The two perfumers describe it as the meeting of a warm milk note, soft and creamy, and the piquant heat of cardamom.

Fruit, flowers, and spiced milk

In the top notes, the house announces raspberry and mandarin, which in its view lend a delicious side. The heart brings together ginger flower, gardenia, and jasmine over a note of amber, and the base sets down cardamom, sandalwood, and the milk accord.

Here ginger is a flower, not a root: along with gardenia and jasmine, the house makes it the softest part of the perfume. It classifies Yes I Am among floral orientals, and its American descriptions also call it spicy.

What stays out

Longer lists add lemon, bergamot, rose, orange blossom, caramel, licorice, vanilla, coumarin, and benzoin. No description from the house names them; the composition sticks to the nine materials that Cacharel and its perfumers declare.

What the label declares

The label declares benzyl salicylate, hydroxycitronellal, benzyl alcohol, limonene, linalool, coumarin, methyl anthranilate, citronellol, farnesol, geraniol, benzyl benzoate, and citral.

A filter and a stabilizer protect the formula from light, an antioxidant preserves it, and two colorants, one violet and the other red, tint the liquid.
