Very Irrésistible, the Eau de Parfum of an unforgettable encounter Hubert de Givenchy was only 17 when he moved to Paris to work in fashion. It was at 24 that he began his career as a designer.
Released in 2003, “Very Irresistible” represents the fragrance of a free, feminine, and slightly impertinent woman. “Very Irresistible” is the first aromatic floral from the house of Givenchy and it has an exceptional feature since it is composed of 35% rose. What could be more feminine and romantic than the Queen of flowers? Elegant, modern, and ultra feminine, “Very Irresistible” brings together numerous varieties of rose. A joy of living for a truly irresistible fragrance.
The winning trio of Very Irresistible
To create this highly feminine composition, Givenchy called upon three great perfumers, namely Carlos Benaïm, Dominique Ropion, and Sophie Labbé. Carlos Benaïm was born in Morocco and was thus steeped in distinctly oriental scents. This nose possesses an unrivaled expertise and has received several awards throughout his career. He is responsible for “Pure Poison” by Christian Dior and “Flowerbomb” by Viktor & Rolf. Dominique Ropion is considered one of the most talented perfumers of his time. As his mother worked at Roure in Grasse, young Dominique was exposed to scents from a very young age. Since 2001, Dominique Ropion has worked for IFF and has created, among others, “Ysatis” by Givenchy and “Trésor in Love” by Lancôme. Sophie Labbé grew up in Charente and loves the scents of the outdoors, flowers, and fields. After joining the prestigious perfumery school of Versailles, ISIPCA, Sophie Labbé was recruited by IFF and has imagined great fragrances such as “Premier Jour” by Nina Ricci and “Organza” by Givenchy.
Rose, from head to toe
“Very Irresistible” is an original and bold composition since it contains more than 35% rose. Needless to say, rose is not only the Queen of flowers, but also the Queen of the composition. Subtle, disarming, yet so appealing, the Givenchy woman offers unexpected assets. The composition opens with the association of star anise. Also called badiane, star anise is a fruit shaped like a star. Star anise is a highly fragrant spice. It brings a touch that is both anisic and spicy. The heart overflows with femininity thanks to the rose, which pairs judiciously with pink peony. The base is likewise filled with rose and romance. Here, several varieties of rose blend together, namely Centifolia rose, rose passion, peony rose, fantasia rose, and emotion rose. The bottle, full of light, reveals the color pink in a particularly dazzling gradient.
Very Irresistible is a resolutely modern and feminine fragrance. It offers a rare composition in which rose is the star. Sparkling and romantic, the “Very Irresistible” woman will leave no one indifferent.
