With Vanille in 2012, Patchouli finally gets an oriental successor that not only reproduces its treasures but adds new ones! While the “réminiscade” endures, it takes on the color of a vanilla of character drawn from all four corners of the world, a delight!

Vanille, a fragrant revival with strong character signed Réminiscence

Patchouli, Ambre and Musc marked with their strong personalities an entire generation of bohemian women of the 1970s, so deeply did their oriental fragrances become part of our olfactory heritage. Despite fine new releases in perfumery such as Rem’ in 1996, Réminiscence had never offered a new installment to these three orientals that came straight out of the hippie years and the dream of their creators Nino Amaddeo and Zoé Coste. Nothing. Until Vanille and its nose Fabrice Pellegrin.

Of course Vanille will still be composed of what is now called the “réminiscade,” the blend of signature raw materials that built the first three 70s perfumes. But Vanille will also draw on the brilliant modern developments discovered by perfumery since then, such as the work on the facets of precious vanilla pods.

Vanille will therefore present itself as a modern bohemian juice that seeks to stay as close to the skin of its 70s ancestors as to its new millennium. Quite logically, the visual as well as the advertising for Vanille will be set in a bohemian-chic-baroque frame, as timeless as it is fiercely modern. Because at its core, the strength of Patchouli, like that of its new successor Vanille, is to be a perfume of character that does not concern itself with trends.

Vanille by Réminiscence is not a gourmand perfume but truly an oriental!

Vanille could be seen as the representative of a passing of the torch between the three juices composed in 1970 and the continuation of their adventures, 42 years later. Quite understandably then, the Vanille bottle pays homage to its ancestors Patchouli, Musc and Ambre by proudly displaying the same beautiful features. Vanille thus appears in a slanted glass decorated with gold stars and topped with a cylindrical steel starred cap, exactly like Patchouli in 1970.

Vanille, created by Fabrice Pellegrin, aims to showcase the finest facets of vanilla from Tahiti, Uganda and Madagascar. As a result, this fine oriental does not hesitate to open on fruity notes of osmanthus and bergamot. At the heart, it is of course the vanillas that exhale their intense charms in notes of vanilla flower and vanilla infusion. Jasmine and heliotrope bring their floral sweetness to these fine exotic pods. Finally, Ugandan vanilla meets Bourbon vanilla to create a deep sillage enhanced by the sensuality of patchouli and benzoin. Tonka bean and praline add a touch of gourmand character to these vanillas, which wrap themselves in the cottony softness of white musks.
