Guimauve Réminiscence

Since the creation of Thierry Mugler's Angel in the early 1990s, gourmand fragrances have kept on emerging. Women seem to have literally fallen under the spell of this type of fragrance and now swear only by sweet, sometimes even childlike, essences.

Where to buy

This is precisely the trend that Reminiscence's Guimauve rides on. It calls upon childhood memories and promises to take the wearer on a true journey through time. So, how about gaining a little more innocence?

The heightened femininity of Guimauve

Guimauve is undoubtedly one of the most feminine fragrances from the house of Reminiscence. While the house always enjoys offering escapes and journeys to the other side of the world through its creations, this time it is a journey through time that is offered. Guimauve is a juice that has what it takes to satisfy every marshmallow addict. Particularly original, this fragrance is both complex and warm. While its name and its candy-pink box might suggest a somewhat saccharine content, this is not the case at all. Its childlike and somewhat regressive appearance does not prevent it from being a true fragrance for women. After all, who said one could not be sexy and appetizing at the same time? This juice fits perfectly into Reminiscence's collection of gourmand fragrances, pairing seamlessly with the fragrances Do Ré and Mi Fa. Its packaging is also highly evocative of the world of boudoirs. As such, this juice carries a strong sense of timelessness, as if it had come straight out of Marie-Antoinette's bathroom. Its tulle ribbon, for its part, suggests a certain lightness. As will be understood, this is a 100% feminine fragrance.

Gourmand character reinterpreted by Reminiscence

While many fragrances boast of containing appetizing recipes, few actually succeed in creating a gourmand character so convincing that one would want to eat it. Yet Guimauve truly belongs to that category. This fragrance has the originality of opening with an aromatic accord. It immediately delivers a trio of rosemary, lavender and mint. This gives it an incisive, sparkling and unexpected character. This accord is quickly joined by the vibrancy of citrus. A citrus accord based on orange, lemon, mandarin and bergamot enhances the composition and gives it a slightly tangy edge. Guimauve then moves toward a softer, more powdery heart. Orange blossom brings intense luminosity, while gourmand notes make their appearance. The sweetness of almond is balanced by the more incisive, spicy character of pepper. The whole composition keeps warming up until it reaches a particularly enveloping sillage of cedar, patchouli, amber and vanilla.
