Where to buy

Her daughter, Marguerite, who went by the name Marie Blanche, was her muse and inexhaustible source of inspiration. In 1925, Jeanne Lanvin ventured into perfumery with “Lanvin Parfums”. In 2006, the brand's artistic director, Alber Elbaz, revived a fragrance that had fallen into disuse, “Rumeur”. Faced with this new success, he decided to offer an ultra-feminine and fresh variation with “Rumeur 2 Rose”.

A glamorous variation

First released in 1934, “Rumeur” did not achieve the expected success, as the era was particularly difficult and confused. The house then discontinued the fragrance in 1971. In 2006, Alber Elbaz wanted to give it a second chance and rewrite a rumor! The bet paid off, since “Rumeur” is a magnificent bouquet of white flowers with undisguised sensuality. In 2008, Alber Elbaz wanted to imagine a variation of this new rumor. “Rumeur 2 Rose” is described as a tribute to glamorous and daring young women. It is a fragrance steeped in modernity for glamorous young women who generate gossip everywhere they go. The rumor spreads, always mysterious, impatient to release its sparkling and floral melody.

The unexpected freshness of Rumeur 2 Rose

It should be noted that “Rumeur 2 Rose” was first launched abroad, before being marketed in France. “Rumeur 2 Rose” is considered a magical escape, a sparkling and flavorful citrus cocktail. “Rumeur 2 Rose” opens with fresh citrus notes combining pear, lemon, grapefruit, orange and bergamot. These citrus notes are joined by green notes. The very floral heart is composed of damascone roses, lily of the valley and honeysuckle. The base is sensual and seductive, composed of white musks, amber and woody notes. As for the bottle, it echoes the codes of its predecessor. It still offers soft, sensual curves, but its juice is a soft pink color and its name is written in white letters. The small pink taffeta ribbon topping the neck recalls the brand and also the draping so dear to Alber Elbaz.

Two years after the reinterpretation of “Rumeur”, Lanvin presents “Rumeur 2 Rose”. This fresh and floral fragrance is intended for glamorous young women. Highly sparkling, the rumor spreads endlessly...
