Jeanne Lanvin

Where to buy
She founded her own fashion house, bearing the same name, in 1909, on rue du Faubourg St Honoré. Her daughter Marguerite, born in 1897, would become Jeanne's muse and the object of her endless inspiration… A history rich in craftsmanship and innovation, which earned her recognition for 125 years of French luxury and elegance. The Jeanne Lanvin perfume by Lanvin, created in 2008, is a romantic and candid tribute.
The origins of Jeanne Lanvin
Jeanne Lanvin is a key figure in the world of perfumery and haute couture. Coming from a modest family, Jeanne Lanvin had to work from an early age. At 13, she found herself working for a Parisian milliner. Five years later, she wanted to open her own hat workshop. Once her fashion house had opened, Jeanne Lanvin designed lines for children and women, and her creativity knew no limits. The elegance of the lines and the nobility of the materials used made Jeanne Lanvin a representative of French chic. It was in 1924 that she ventured into perfumery, with just as much talent. The perfume Jeanne Lanvin represents the unforgettable meeting between the founder of the fashion house and its artistic director.
The modern notes of Jeanne Lanvin
Although Jeanne Lanvin is no longer with us, her artistic director, Alber Elbaz, wanted to pay tribute to the great lady by dedicating a perfume to her that bears her name. The fragrance is meant to be modern, couture and truly sophisticated. Jeanne Lanvin expresses a cheerful, floral and gourmand femininity. Jeanne Lanvin opens with a sweet, fruity touch of blackberry. This is then wrapped in the dynamism of citron and juicy pear. The heart is feminine, being ultra floral. It is composed of freesia, rose and peony, combined with a very sweet raspberry. Finally, the base of Jeanne Lanvin is warm and sensual, with the presence of musk, sandalwood and ambergris. The bottle is nothing short of sublime, chic and elegant, in the image of its creator. Shaped like a clean, minimalist glass cube, the bottle rests on a base topped with a rounded drop. The bottle is then dressed in a veil of pink silk tulle along with a grosgrain label, which is reminiscent of the couture spirit of the Lanvin house.
What better way to pay tribute to a great lady than to create a perfume bearing her name? Jeanne Lanvin immerses us in the wonderful world of fashion and perfumery. Bold yet sophisticated, the composition is reminiscent of Jeanne Lanvin's personality. An ultra elegant perfume in the image of Jeanne Lanvin.
