Where to buy
The house has decided to bring its finest bottles and greatest perfumes back into fashion. Thus, 2017 holds many surprises in store, starting with the revisiting of an Eau de Toilette Lumière presented in an iconic bottle from 1960.
Eau de Toilette Lumière, a true solar explosion
The story of the perfume Lumière began in 1984 within the house of Rochas. It was then a kind of spiritual acknowledgment of feminine beauty, offering the image of a fulfilled and radiant woman. This perfume, synonymous with clarity, brilliance, warmth and truth, was sold until 1994. Then, another perfume named Lumière appeared in 2000. This one offered the image of a radiant woman whose accomplished femininity swept across the entire planet. This time, the Eau de Toilette Lumière appears as a way of reconnecting with the harmonious and generous sensuality of women. It opens on an airy, floral and fruity start. The Eau de Toilette Lumière combines the delicacy of lily of the valley with the freshness of honeysuckle as well as the tangy gourmand character of plum and peach. Then, its heart becomes more floral. It blends the romanticism of rose with the nobility of heliotrope as well as the powdery elegance of iris. Apricot, for its part, brings more softness here. Its velvety skin is an invitation to caress. The Eau de Toilette Lumière gradually becomes warmer. It finally concludes with a syrupy and sensual union of vanilla, sandalwood and white musk. The result is a perfume of infinite delicacy, inviting two beings to come together in perfect harmony.
Rochas reinterprets Madame Rochas's iconic bottle
Moreover, the Eau de Toilette Lumière comes in an emblematic bottle of the house of Rochas. It dates back to 1960 and once belonged to the perfume Madame Rochas. As a matter of history, its visual is inspired by a janusette, a small salt bottle dating from the 18th century, found some years earlier by Marcel Rochas himself. This bottle is adorned with eight cut facets, giving it the appearance of a true crystal sculpture. The whole is very slender and proudly displays a golden cap at its top. This echoes the amber color of its juice, set off only by a white label with a very refined look. The Eau de Toilette Lumière is an immersion into the world of Rochas as well as into the intimate history of this emblematic couple of the luxury world. The Eau de Toilette Lumière reflects the house's perfumery as it was once envisioned by Hélène Rochas. The creator said that her perfume had to perpetuate the elegance of Rochas, while reflecting the spirit of the independent woman she had become.
