Place Vendôme

The feminine fragrance Place Vendôme by Boucheron The house Boucheron is above all a renowned jeweler. It is therefore only logical that it created a perfume in homage to one of the most famous locations in this world: the emblematic Place Vendôme in Paris.

The house Boucheron was among the very first jewelry houses to offer sparkling, luminous and colorful collections that came to light up the 19th century with a touch of luxurious magic. It was also one of the very first jewelry houses to settle at Place Vendôme, a square that became legendary over the centuries for its jewels. It was therefore natural that in 2013 Boucheron chose to celebrate the 150th anniversary of this legendary address with a perfume as sparkling as the house's jewels, soberly named Place Vendôme.

Ode to light and history through the composition by Olivier Cresp and Nathalie Lorson for Place Vendôme by Boucheron

Since 1853 and its establishment at Place Vendôme, the house Boucheron has continually offered precious jewels faceted so as to reflect light in all its forms, in all its most beautiful colorful facets. Just like these lovely jewels, Boucheron composed perfumes that would be worn with the same elegance and the same sophistication as its jewelry pieces such as Jaipur or Initial.

In order to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Boucheron's establishment at Place Vendôme, the house asked Olivier Cresp and Nathalie Lorson to compose together a perfume that would be worn like an invisible adornment while carrying the light and elegance of Boucheron jewels. The talented perfumers thus gave birth to the magical Place Vendôme in 2003, which would be by turns luminous and radiant, by turns carnal and sensual, in any case very feminine and very Boucheron…

The new ephemeral adornment. A Floriental Woody radiating grace and voluptuousness. An adornment with a sensual sillage revealing an eternal addiction on skin. Boucheron about Place Vendôme.

Place Vendôme by Boucheron between the sparkling light of a jewel and the sensual femininity of skin

Olivier Cresp and Nathalie Lorson have together signed an impressive number of successes in perfumery in recent years. While Nathalie Lorson likes to say that she plays the actress to meet the demands of the houses for which she composes perfumes, the least one can say is that she would know how to perfectly interpret the role of the invisible adornment requested by Boucheron to compose Place Vendôme.

I am somewhat like an actress, I try to put myself in the skin of the brand, to project myself into a project and sometimes, even though I have put a great deal of myself into it, we end up with something quite far from our spontaneous affinities. Nathalie Lorson, creator among others of Place Vendôme, for Au Parfum.

Indeed, Place Vendôme was designed like a Boucheron jewel. It thus first offers a radiant light thanks to the sharp and dynamic notes of bergamot, lemon and pink pepper. Then at the heart, it is the delicacies of an elegant femininity that are highlighted by notes of rose, jasmine, peony and orange blossom. Finally, we find in the depths of Place Vendôme the delicate contact between a woman's skin and the light of a Boucheron jewel thanks to the sensual, almost tactile notes of benzoin, cedar and white musks.
