The latter is immediately recognizable by its bottle and belongs, more than any other, to the world of Narciso Rodriguez. This is no doubt why it bears its name so plainly…

The universal power of Narciso

Narciso is an uncommon name that inevitably evokes the Narcissus of mythology. Its story was told by Ovid and concerns a child endowed with rare beauty, worthy of being loved by the nymphs. Yet behind this attractive facade lay a young man who was indifferent and scornful. This is why a goddess one day led him to quench his thirst at the edge of a pond. Smitten with his own reflection, Narcissus forgot to eat or drink. He took root at the water's edge and gradually turned into a flower. It is precisely this myth that inspired Narciso Rodriguez to write this romantic fragrance. Moreover, it thus conveys a universal image. Its message is powerful and romantic. Beyond the myth itself, Narciso evokes seduction and the mysterious power of attraction. It is a modern fragrance that seems, on its own, capable of stopping time, echoing Narcissus's reflection. This is why Narciso is regarded today as one of the most sensual creations in existence. This fragrance pays tribute to feminine beauty and transforms the woman who wears it into a sensual and thoroughly tempting creature.

The floral and woody effluvia crafted by Narciso Rodriguez

To write the formula for his fragrance, Narciso Rodriguez called on perfumer Aurélien Guichard. Together, they created a particularly avant-garde juice that upends the traditional codes of feminine seduction. Indeed, Narciso dares to play on contrasts and showcases a woody ingredient usually reserved for masculine perfumery: vetiver. Here it is worked in a particularly refined and assertive way. It is paired with Virginia white cedarwood for added luminosity. Yet this radiance is offset by the presence of Atlas black cedar. The whole is then enhanced by an enormous bouquet of white flowers, gaining delicacy and romanticism at the same time. Bulgarian rose is juxtaposed with the light transparency of gardenia. Finally, Narciso closes on a genuine surge of sensuality. Musk in particular warms this ensemble with its amber animalic quality. Narciso comes in a cubic bottle emblematic of the Narciso Rodriguez house. It displays extreme purity while nonetheless emanating from highly considered craftsmanship. Its beauty is highly architectural, almost self-evident. Only its name contrasts with the beauty of its white-lacquered sillage.
