Pleats Please Eau de Parfum

Issey Miyake also revolutionized the world of perfumery, notably with his first fragrance, L’Eau d’Issey, a feminine fragrance as light as a drop of water. In 2012, the Japanese couturier wished to celebrate the pleated collection and presented Pleats Please. A year later, in 2013, Issey Miyake unveiled a new flanker, Pleats Please, l’Eau de Parfum, more floral and more gourmand than its predecessor.

Pleats Please, l’Eau de Parfum, an ultra gourmand fragrance

It was perfumer Aurélien Guichard who built this fragrance. On this subject, he states that l’Eau de Parfum Pleats Please is like biting into a violet macaron. Here, violet is enhanced by floral and gourmand notes. Pleats Please, l’Eau de Parfum opens with violet flowers, magnificent and radiant with beauty. These are joined by fruity notes, which lend a gourmand aspect to the composition. The heart is elegant thanks to the presence of peony and sweet pea. The base is sensual and generous with patchouli and vanilla. Dynamic and colorful, Issey Miyake's fragrance exudes happiness, just like the original. As for the bottle, it also echoes the lines of its predecessor. Multifaceted in shape, representing the famous pleats, the bottle is this time tinted violet, in tribute to the violet in the composition. In a very haute couture manner, the name of the perfume appears in a deconstructed way on this bottle, which is topped with a cap featuring a pleated effect.

A year after Pleats Please, Issey Miyake presents its variation, Pleats Please, l’Eau de Parfum. While this fragrance still pays tribute to the famous Pleats Please clothing collection, it is nonetheless more gourmand.
