Mon Guerlain Intense

Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum Intense is the woody amber version Guerlain launched at the end of summer 2019, signed by Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk. A vanilla tincture prepared at the Orphin factory joins Tahitensis vanilla, patchouli, lavender and sandalwood. Angelina Jolie embodies it in a film by Emmanuel Lubezki shot at her home in Cambodia.

Guerlain launched Mon Guerlain in 2017, a creation by Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk embodied by Angelina Jolie. The house built the line around four materials, lavender, jasmine, vanilla and sandalwood; the Eau de Parfum Intense amplifies the vanilla of Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum.

Guerlain celebrated the launch in Paris on July 8, 2019, before the press and in the presence of Angelina Jolie, and put the new version on sale at the end of August. Delphine Jelk, Guerlain’s fragrance creation director, sees in it “a confident, enveloping and carnal signature that no one forgets.”

Guerlain highlights a workshop craft: a vanilla tincture prepared by hand at its factory in Orphin, the signature of this variation. The Eau de Parfum Intense comes in 30, 50 and 100 ml, in the line’s quadrilobe bottle, weighted and adorned with gold.

Emmanuel Lubezki films Angelina Jolie at her home in Cambodia; Guerlain unveils the film in Paris in July 2019.

Angelina Jolie has embodied Mon Guerlain since 2017. For the Eau de Parfum Intense, Emmanuel Lubezki shot the film at the actress’s home in Cambodia, after a first film made at her estate in Provence, where the line’s lavender grows.

The film shows her wrapped in silk sheets while tropical rain falls outside. A print campaign, portraits of the actress with tousled hair, accompanied the release at the end of August 2019.

Guerlain unveiled the film on July 8, 2019, at the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris, before the press. The actress and Laurent Boillot, head of the house, announced a bee protection project in the Samlot region of northwestern Cambodia.
